Your Olympic Babe O’ The Day

By Wyatt Earp | February 25, 2010

This is Justyna Kowalczyk. She is a 27-year old Cross-Country skier from Poland. So far, in Vancouver she has won a silver medal in the Individual Sprint Classic and a bronze medal in the 15km Pursuit. More from Wikipedia:

Justyna Kowalczyk (born 19 January 1983 in Limanowa) is a Polish cross country skier who has been competing since 2000. She won the bronze medal in the 30 km freestyle at the 2006 Olympic Winter Games in Turin, becoming the first Pole to medal in cross country skiing at the Winter Olympics.

And for the record, the Olympics have been going on for exactly two weeks, and I have not posted more than one babe from the same country yet. Everyone loves variety, right?

Was she the woman that raced after falling in a ditch and injuring her ribs? If so, she got that silver with a punctured lung. It is a shame that the athletes make their “jobs’ look so effortless. I think we lose site of just how greatly talented they all are…even the ones who come in last.

RT – That was Petra Majdic of Slovenia. Fell, messed up her ribs, and still took a medal. Hard core.

JimmyB – Good for what ails ya!
