Your Olympic Babe O’ The Day

This vision of teh lovely is Iveta Karafiatova. She is my new favorite hockey player. The 21-year old defenseman is the captain of the Slovakia Women’s Ice Hockey team, and since my family is from there, she holds a special place in my heart. This from an WINIH interview:
“I started to play hockey when I was 6 years old. My dad coached one season in Italy where I started with hockey and then continued in Slovakia. I played with boys till I was 16 years old, then I went to high school in Canada where I played in Saskatchewan for 2 years. I am an assistant captain for a team in Linkoping, Sweden.
The first time I played for the national team I was 12 years old and I won my first World Championship at 14 years old. I have been an Assistant Captain on the national team for 2 years now. I was also named the best Slovak hockey player for season 2007/2008.”

I had the chance to see her play Team Canada last night, and while she has a lot of talent, the Canadians are just overpowering. Sadly, the Slovaks got crushed by a score of 18-0.
It’s okay, though. My country has Iveta Karafiatova. Canada has Hayley Wickenheiser. Yikes!

WOW, being of Slovak descent myself and an expert on the subject, I would have to say that Iveta is the best Slovak Hockey Player that ever was.
Holy Krap, where did you ever come up that Hayley Wickenheiser monstrosity? Wyatt, you’re really digging deep this morning.

Watuschskie – I know. She’s no Kiira Korpi, but I think she’s hot. The Slovak thing is just gravy. Did you see the game last night? Frakkin’ Canadians.

Those Frakkin Canadians managed to beat this beautiful girls’s team by 18 goals. I never trust a padded woman next thing they will want wonder bras. MUD

MUD – I think I got almost every photo of her from the net, but none of them showed whether she would need a WonderBra. I checked. Heh.

Some of those girls mogul skiers last night didn’t look too bad. For being in ski clothes during a rain storm. They might look a little nicer cleaned up.
