A Charlie Rangel Kind Of Christmas

By Wyatt Earp | October 9, 2009

Corrupt Charlie RangelFor New York Congressman Corrupt Charlie Rangel, every day is Christmas! Where else can you get paid to suck the teat of the American citizenry, violate the tax laws with impunity, and have the Black Congressional Caucus kiss your fat ass and tell you it tastes great?

Of course, with every Christmas, there comes an early New year’s Day hangover. Most of those hangovers don’t end up with you being hauled off to federal prison, but Rangel may be a special case. To wit:

Can Charlie Rangel please stop committing new ethics and financial transgressions so the House Ethics panel can finish all the old investigations first?!

Word is just breaking on the Hill that the House ethics committee has once again expanded its probe into his corruptocracy:

A House committee voted unanimously Thursday to expand its investigation into New York’s Democratic Rep. Charlie Rangel, CBS 2 has learned.

Congressman Rangel’s sudden recollection this summer of at least $500,000 in cash assets and tens of thousands of dollars of investment income has gotten him into more hot water.

The House Committee on Standards of Official Conduct issued a statement on Thursday that is now going to investigate his apparent lapses in memory as part of a probe that has already lasted 16 months. (H/TMichelle Malkin)

Congratulations, New York. You are fast becoming the home to the most corrupt politicians in America. Hell, at this point, California’s elected officials look like choirboys next to you!

How do you “all of the sudden” realize that you have an extra 500 grand just laying around? What an idiot!

Rangel is going to make Rahm look like a choirboy if he keeps this up. And, still they re-elect this pile of garbage. Problem is, NY is not the only one paying the price for his hedonism.

Fast becoming the home to the most corrupt politicians in America? Too late, way too late. This state’s entire political system is thoroughly corrupted, and has been for decades.

I gotta make this quick because it feels like I’m sitting on something lumpy and it’s really hurting my back.

What the hell is tha…WOW, it’s $500,000 just sitting there on my chair. I had forgot all about it!

It was the extra $80k in income that he failed to report that is the most shocking to me. What I really made 40% more than I said I did? If any of us did that we would be in jail. Him nothing. What a crock.

He’s in charge of writing tax code?

    The insanity continues.

Randal – Can’t talk. Counting newly found money.

MeToo – No, all of us are.

John D – It’s sad, really, but not surprising.

Joated – Wow, how could I forget New Jersey?

Kaveman – I found the same amount of cash in my mattress! Awesome!

Ingineer66 – And the Congressional Black Caucus came out in support of him this week. There you go.

    RAPH – Unbelievable, isn’t it?

Kate – Well, now that Obama is out of there . . .
