Pop Goes The Iggy

I love Iggy Pop. I always have. The rocker is a certifiable mess, but his music has always been entertaining. So, when news of his biopic hit the web, I was intrigued. I mean, how many people lived a life as full – and frakked up – as Iggy Pop? Of course, the question of who will play the singer in the title role is a difficult one.
You’ll never guess who he wants to play himself in the film.
The film, based on the life and work of Iggy and his band The Stooges, was supposed to be in pre-production this year with Elijah Wood (aka Frodo Baggins) in the lead role. He made it clear that he was much happier signing off on a film about The Stooges rather than one focusing on his personal life. Although he did say that when the time was right, he had the perfect person in mind to play him.
“If somebody did want to make a biopic of me I think they should get Lindsay Lohan actually. She looks like me and she’s the only one with enough attitude too. They could tape her boobs up or something. She’s been in jail at the right age and everything so I thought she could do it.” (H/T – Mrs. Crankipants)

I dunno, Lindsay doesn’t have the Godfather’s dazzling porcelain veneers. Maybe Gary Busey’s pearly whites could double as Iggy’s teeth in tight shots.

Saying he wants Lohan to play him is awesome, but a word of warning. If you post any more photos of Iggy, your readership meter is going to go to zero.

I’m not sure future photos of Lindsay Lohan are going to do Wyatt’s readership stats any good, either. She’s starting to look…bad.
