Her birthday was on Thursday. I. Freakin’. Forgot.
I probably should remember the birthday of the woman who scored me an autographed Wayne Gretzky jersey hockey stick, but I didn’t. I offer no excuse, except my usual idiocy. The good news is that since I forgot, you guys forgot, too. So please join me in wishing her a belated birthday. As for me . . .
And again, Mrs. C. I apologize unreservedly.

Quick! Get her to a mall tomorrow for a makeover: hair, shoes, nails, cosmetics, etc. Then take her to dinner. That saved my ass before. A little credit card salvation is all you need.
