Dying Manson Family Member Denied Parole

By Wyatt Earp | September 4, 2009

Susan AtkinsYes! High five! So much for the pity vote, you contemptible bitch!

It is nice to see a parole hearing conducted with the interests of justice in mind. What is simply amazing is that the hearing took place in The People’s Republic of California. I am amazed they didn’t lift Atkins’ wheelchair above their heads and proclaim her the new “Hero of the Revolution.”

Former “Manson Family” member Susan Atkins, who stabbed actress Sharon Tate to death more than 40 years ago and now is terminally ill, was denied parole Wednesday, prison officials said.

The parole hearing was the 13th for Atkins, 61, who is battling terminal brain cancer. Held at the Central California Women’s Facility in Chowchilla, California, the hearing stretched to more than six hours.

The panel set another hearing for Atkins in three years, said Michele Kane, spokeswoman for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.

Atkins’ brain cancer was diagnosed in March 2008, [Atkins' husband James] Whitehouse wrote on his Web site. On May 15, doctors predicted she would live less than six months. But she passed that deadline, he wrote, and celebrated her 21st wedding anniversary on December 7. (H/TCNN)

If there is any justice, Atkins will be dead before her next anniversary.

What bothers me is the story didn’t mention that Sharon Tate was EIGHT MONTHS PREGNANT so it was a double homicide as far as I am concerned.

I love it when we actually stick to the letter of the law! She deserves no more mercy than she showed those she murdered. Let her see how merciful God is with her. She isn’t going to be shown any in this life.

Even if they release her, the State of California will have to pay for her treatment. Leave her where she is and don’t reward good behavior (Dieing when she should have been executed) by releasing her early.
Mercy and Justice is a two edged sword. When Sharon begged for her life to save her unborn child, there was no mercy. Why would we start now? Justice is just another way of saying nothing left to lose. Helter Skelter her ass! MUD

Just a point to make to parole boards the world over (I’m talking to you, Scotland), Life in Prison means you stay in prison until you die. Not until some future parole board feels sorry for you.

    Score one for society.

Lucky thing she wasn’t jailed in Scotland.

You see that, Scotland? Even California understands punishment better than you!

I never thought I would praise California for anything.
I have to go rethink my life.

Mrs. Crankipants – Nice use of literary justice.

Randal – Must have been like throwing a hot dog down a hallway. What???

Crankipants – Maybe he can take her for a midnight drive?

    MeToo – Amen to that!

Dennis – And when you get to Hell, tell ‘em Itchy sent ya!

WalterC – We’re good for another few years.

Jen06 – She’d be making the talk show circuits now.

Standin’ John – Even a blind squirrel occasionally locks up a nut.

DL474 – We’re all on the same wavelength. Eerie.
