Easton, PA Firefighters In Hot Water

By Wyatt Earp | August 11, 2009

Was Mariah Carey there?

Was Mariah Carey there?

Allegedly, members of the Easton Fire Department hosted a little “photo shoot” inside the station house. Mental note: Join the Easton Fire Department as soon as possible. Apparently, their perks are second to none. (And yes, I realize I probably should have posted this over at First In, but I wanted to snark it for myself.)

The mayor of Easton says there will be an investigation into a photo shoot that took place at the city’s central fire station.

Mayor Sal Panto said city officials will look into allegations that a photographer was given permission to take photos of firefighters Thursday night.

Panto said there were allegedly also pictures taken of a woman who, as the mayor put it, was “not appropriately dressed for attire at a fire station.” (H/TCBS3)

So, let’s begin: I wonder if the firefighters brought out their “hoses?” Maybe they got a call to put out a fire . . . in their pants? We can do this all day, kids.

It’s a shame they got caught. The model had to be removed from the station, leaving only the regular boring firefighters:

See? I can post something for the ladies once in a while. That’s actually Captain America. Don’t tell him I posted his photo.

This seems to be a common theme. I read something like this at a different fire department every two or three years.

Almost makes me wish I was a hosedragger.

Is anyone else confused by the “not appropriately dressed for attire at a fire station” statement by the mayor?

I guess he must be a product of the government school system. Note to mayor Panto: Sentence structure is your friend.

How the hell do these people get elected?

And if that ain’t Mariah Carey she’s a damn good knockoff and quite appropriately attired IMO. I mean, she’s got the hat and the coat………….she could haul my ho……………….um….nevermind.

I have to call you on this one.
I was on duty the night in question.
Two people walked up to the door and asked if they could take pitures in the firehouse. We called the chief for them to get permission, which he gave.
Somewhere along the line the woman, who was the photographer, put on a bathing suit top and bunker pants and posed for a few pics. Immediately after that they left.
No firefighters were involved in the pics other than making sure they didn’t mess with anything on the apparatus floor.
Nothing was inappropiate or provocative or sexual.

We are getting raked over the coals over this, and we ( the firefighters ) didn’t do anything wrong.

George – But she couldn’t put a sentence together, so no chief for her!

AD – In fairness, we usually get busted for questionable actions.

Randal – If it’s “ghey” to stare at a hot hunk, then “ghey” me up!

CM – I’m from the government, and I’m here to help.

RAPH – The mayor doesn’t know the first thing about firefighting.

    RT – Sexist!

    Mrs. Crankipants/Maggie/MeToo/Kate/TBB – You’re welcome, ladies!

Axeman – No offense intended, sir. This post was all snark and sarcasm. As a police detective, I know how stories can get ridiculously overblown, and I would think that you and the members of your department wouldn’t let some slob undress in the station.

I believe you’re all being maligned for the actions of two people, which is why I’m making light. Sorry is any offense was taken.
