San Antonio, Texas: Full Of Crap

By Wyatt Earp | September 11, 2008

Finally, someone is seriously addressing our distressed energy situation. Poo power to the rescue!

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio unveiled a deal on Tuesday that will make it the first U.S. city to harvest methane gas from human waste on a commercial scale and turn it into clean-burning fuel.

At first, the city’s politicians poo-pooed the idea. Bwahahahahahaha! I kill me!

San Antonio residents produce about 140,000 tons a year of a substance gently referred to as “biosolids,” which can be reprocessed into natural gas, said Steve Clouse, chief operating officer of the city’s water system.

That will get San Antonio out of the dumps. Heh. New SYLG buzzword, kids! From this moment on, when someone is trying to pull the wool over your eyes, they will be said to be “full of biosolids.” This alleviates the use of other “sentence enhancers.”

The city approved a deal where Massachusetts-based Ameresco Inc will convert the city’s biosolids into natural gas, which could generate about 1.5 million cubic feet per day, he said. (H/T – )

Of course the company is based in Massachusetts! When you think about crap, don’t you almost immediately think about the Bay State? I rest my case.
