Don’t Ask About The Battle Of The “Bulge”

By Wyatt Earp | July 28, 2008

You may not like your answer. Apparently, war memorials are the new “in” location to shoot pr0n movies:

While common acts of desecration have in the past included vandalism and graffiti, indecent photographs and videos are increasingly being shot around the magnificent structures built during the post-war years to remember the fallen.

The latest incident saw a French couple given a four-month suspended prison sentence for making a pornographic video at the Vimy Ridge memorial near Arras.

After being found guilty of exhibitionism, they were fined £400 each and ordered to pay a symbolic one euro (80 pence) in damages to Canada, which lost 60,000 men in the Great War.

Many Canadians perished in the Battle of Vimy Ridge, in April 1917, when four members of the Canadian Corps received Victoria Crosses.

Despite the courageous deeds and sacrifice honoured by the Vimy Memorial, the couple are believed to have stripped naked and performed sex acts beside the soaring stone structure. (H/TTelegraph)

Dude! What the Hell? I’m all for freedom of expression in most cases, but this is pretty despicable. There were probably hundreds of different sites these morons could have chosen instead of a war memorial, but I guess Frenchy Le Rue wanted to make “a statement.” Idiots.

Just got back from the Vicksburg Military Park… I seriously need a wet wipe. Who knows what went on in there?!?

A symbolic one euro? That doesn’t seem hardly steep (or symbolic) enough.

If Canada lost 60,000 men in the Great War, then I’d argue they should have been made to pay $60,000 euros. Or at least $600.00 euros…

Deanna – Yeah, I shudder to think what may go on in Valley Forge National park.

RFTR – A euro per life lost. I like that idea.

Ughhh…what is wrong with people these days? It’s like they’re trying to “out-do” each other in ways to be offensive.

I’m disgusted. Not just with the act, but with their punishment. 1 Euro? That is what that piece of desecration was worth. I agreed with RFTR, they should’ve paid a whole lot more for their tasteless act.
