The 2005 NASCAR Champion

By Wyatt Earp | November 21, 2005

Damnit!

Some guy won the championship yesterday, but I don’t recall his name. If you’re interested, check out GunnNutt’s post (complete with pics) of the man I love to hate.

Double damnit!

What makes it worse is that my man Mark Martin didn’t win the race.

“Smoke” says he’s been much calmer and polite this year and credits everyone else with his success. But last week, when asked “What’s missing from racing?” he answered: fistfights!

How can you not love this guy?

Bob – He’s still got next year, since Roush needs someone to drive the #6.

Gunny – Because, like Harvick, he seemed to be a wiseass from the beginning just for the sake of being a wiseass. As if he needed to fill the void of The Intimidator. There’s only one Dale, Sr, and neither Stewart nor Harvick are it. I do give him credit, though. You need talent to win two championships.
