Rabid Beavers On The Loose In NE Philly

A pack of rabid beavers has been attacking people in the area of Pennypack Park in Northeast Philadelphia. This park is a mile or so from my house.
What the frak is going on in my neighborhood? We take the kids to this park all the time, and now I guess I’m gonna have to start bringing my gun.
Wildlife officials are warning Northeast Philadelphia park visitors about possibly rabid beavers after three people were bitten near a city creek in the past two days. Pennsylvania Game Commission spokesman Jerry Feaser said Thursday that one beaver has been captured and killed. Its carcass will be tested for rabies.
Officials say a beaver bit a husband and wife who were fishing on Wednesday in Pennypack Creek in northeast Philadelphia.

Howdy Wyatt – say, you sure you want your kids to see you shooting a beaver? Ok, everybody settle down.
I know, I know, the hurricanes, the tornadoes, the floods, the price of gas and food, bootleg light bulbs, the Red Sox actually won a World Series not too long ago, and now this.
There is no cause for alarm.
But, if bearded clams start attacking people, we might be in over our heads.

I will be interested to see if they are rabid. I bet the momma is just protecting her pups… I hope they trap them and relocate them.

Wyatt, you mean you were unarmed at the Wyattpalooza two years ago? Had I known that, I’d have been packing as defense for you against all the crazed beavers at Cheeseburger in Paradise.

All I can picture are families being stalked by foaming-mouthed BEAVER…and then the laughter begins (for the misconstrued reasons)…
