European Airports On High Terror Alert

By Wyatt Earp | October 4, 2010

The animals are getting restless again, and the bloodlust is growing.

The State Department issued a highly unusual “Travel Alert” Sunday for “potential terrorist attacks in Europe,” saying U.S. citizens are “reminded of the potential for terrorists to attack public transportation systems and other tourist infrastructure.”

One scenario authorities fear is a repeat of the 1985 attack on the Rome and Vienna airports, when Palestinian extremists threw grenades and opened fire on travelers waiting at ticket counters injuring 140 and killing 19, including a small child.

European and U.S. officials first learned of the current terror threat over the summer following the capture of a suspected German terrorist who had been training in Pakistan.

Of course, if you are traveling overseas, be very careful.

I have been wondering why for years now why they have not adopted and adapted this tactic more often. It is simple, cost effective, highly adaptable and terrifying. Right after 9/11 we had a terror attack meeting at the water department where everyone in attendance was asked to think of ways in which we could be attacked.

I put forth the scenario of a cadre of terrorists maybe 30 or so, who would cut off a small isolated town in the heart of America and literally kill everyone and everything in it then leave a huge greeting card in the town square such as ‘Greetings from Osama This Can Happen Anywhere’. When the Director said ..Ways to attack the water department specifically.. I suggested they could hire a team of really good chemists who would brainstorm on how to solubilize plutonium in water, maybe by encasing it in carbon buckey balls then attaching solubilizing agents to the hybrid orbitals of the carbon atoms in the bucky balls. If done properly it could destroy major portions any water system anywhere in the world in a few hours by making the water handling facilities, pumps, pipes, filters etc. etc. radioactive before anyone ever found out in time.
The only drawback if you are a terrorist is that ingested plutonium ..might..give you cancer, inhaled plutonium..will..give you cancer.

Anyways, that they are to stupid to carry out even the small scale attacks the last few years, here or anywhere
else, has me confident the big scale ones might be out of their league now with most of their good planners dead
    or captured.

I was just in Glasgow and security was pretty tight, even 6 weeks ago. We flew into the same place when a turd drove the Jeep Cherokee into a few years ago.
I like the food, fun and fellowship, but give me the USA any day of the week.

Face it. The terrorists think the US is a bunch of flaming girly-men. The Obama Administration is telling them “Hey, attack us now and give us one F**K of a bloody nose and you know what we won’t persecute you or we will delay it until you are in heaven stupping your 72 virgins.”

“Our Homeboy Eric Holder here is a very politically correct dude and he doesn’t want to offend a fly.”

Unless the fly is a White Conservative..

Jon – We need CIA hit teams again. Seriously.

    BZ – And the Mexicans.

    Ajdshootist – Not until 2012 . . . at the earliest.

Jon – Now? Their alert level is at “Hell.”

Andrew – Gotta hand it to the Swiss. They know more than chocolate.

Piper – If I want to see the world, I’ll go to EPCOT again.

Ferrell – If I’m ever arrested, I’m saying I am a member of the Black Panthers.

We’ve actually been in that airport. It’s a bit small and confined for my liking.

I think the CIA hit teams are very busy in Pakistan right now. But they are using Predators instead of umbrella guns.
