Remember the gold old days when England was the most powerful and feared nation on Earth? They kicked ass, took names, and practically ruled the civilized world.
Now they disarm their soldiers and cower to Islamists.
Security was tight this morning at the army barracks near the scene of yesterday’s killing.
The Ministry of Defence said: “As a result of the incident in Woolwich, a number of additional security measures have been put in place. As you would expect, we would not talk about the details of these measures.”
Troops in London were advised in the immediate aftermath of yesterday’s attack not to wear their uniforms outside their bases.
The Ministry of Defence came to their senses this morning, and rescinded the advisory, but the fact that their first thought was to cower to Islamist animals saddens and sickens me.
Forget armaments and medical supplies. Kentucky Fried Chicken is making many Gazans yell, “Allahu Snack Box!”
A courier business based in Gaza is apparently offering an ambitious service to deliver smuggled orders of Kentucky Friend Chicken from Egypt via underground tunnels. According to the company’s ads on Facebook, Gazans can get a taste of the “finger-lickin good” stuff for 100 shekels ($30 USD, triple the usual price) within 3 hours of placing the order. Fried chicken is only the latest addition to a long list of supplies and products that are being transported through the network of tunnels, which serves as a vital lifeline between Egypt and the Hamas-controlled region that is currently under an Israeli blockade.
If the Mossad is as good as I think it is, their agents would infiltrate the Egyptian KFC and sneak a few of these into the terrorists’ orders.
The Benghazi Hearings began in earnest yesterday, and while I followed much of the testimony – it was my day off – I did not see it all. I have read many accounts, but if you missed them, Breitbart’s Joel Pollak summarized the key points nicely:
1. Two “stand-down” orders were given while the Benghazi attacks were in progress.
2. The “protest” about a YouTube video was a complete fabrication by the Obama administration.
3. Cheryl Mills, Clinton’s lawyer at the State Department, told witnesses not to speak to House investigators.
4. The diplomatic personnel on the ground acted with incredible, unheralded heroism.
5. Democrats came to rebut the eyewitnesses with talking points.
According to Lt. General Thomas Mclnerney, the only person who can give a “stand-down” order is the president. So it would stand to reason Obama gave not one, but two “stand-down” orders to a special forces rescue team. This most likely sealed the fate of Glen Doherty and Ty Woods.
Not that it will matter. As in the case with Operation Fast and Furious, Barack Obama will not be held accountable for dead Americans, and Hillary Clinton’s political career will continue unabated.
Many people suspected it, and now – thanks to a timeline received from the Director of national Intelligence – there is proof. The Obama administration deliberately lied to the American people in the days after the Benghazi terror attack. An attack that left a U.S. ambassador and three other Americans dead.
As intelligence officials pieced together the puzzle of events unfolding in Libya, they concluded even before the assaults had ended that al Qaeda-linked terrorists were involved. Senior administration officials, however, sought to obscure the emerging picture and downplay the significance of attacks that killed a U.S. ambassador and three other Americans. The frantic process that produced the changes to the talking points took place over a 24-hour period just one day before Susan Rice, U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, made her now-famous appearances on the Sunday television talk shows. The discussions involved senior officials from the State Department, the National Security Council, the CIA, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, and the White House.
Do yourself a favor and read the entire article. It’s pretty damning. Hopefully, historians will see this event as the beginning of the end of the Obama presidency, as well as the demise of Hillary Clinton’s presidential aspirations.
A Saudi Arabian official states a letter was sent to DHS in 2012 warning them of Tamerlan Tsarnaev, and claiming an attack may occur in a major U.S. city. Obviously, Janet Napolitano’s DHS did not take the warning seriously.
I wonder if she takes it seriously now?
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia sent a written warning about accused Boston Marathon bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in 2012, long before pressure-cooker blasts killed three and injured hundreds, according to a senior Saudi government official with direct knowledge of the document.
The Saudi warning was separate from the multiple red flags raised by Russian intelligence in 2011, and was based on human intelligence developed independently in Yemen.
The Saudis’ warning to the U.S. government was also shared with the British government. “It was very specific” and warned that “something was going to happen in a major U.S. city,” the Saudi official said. It “did name Tamerlan specifically,” he added.
A Homeland Security official confirmed Tuesday evening on the condition of anonymity that the 2012 letter exists.
You can imagine the firestorm that’s sure to erupt… Oh wait, George W. Bush isn’t president anymore. As you were, MSM.
Since February, 100 Guantanamo Bay detainees have been on a hunger strike to protest their detention. The navy, in its infinite wisdom, has dispatched medics to the prison in order to force-feed the inmates.
The Navy sent extra medical personnel to the Guantanamo detention camp because of a growing hunger strike as the American Medical Association questioned whether doctors were being asked to violate their ethics by force-feeding prisoners.
The reinforcements arrived at the weekend and included about 40 nurses, specialists and hospital corpsmen, who are trained to provide basic medical care.
He said 100 of the 166 detainees had joined a hunger strike that began in February to protest their continued detention at the Guantanamo Bay U.S. Naval Base in eastern Cuba.
Am I missing something here? These detainees are suspected or accused terrorists. If they want to go on a hunger strike, LET THEM! This isn’t rocket surgery, people.
American and foreign intelligence sources are claiming the nerve agent sarin is being deployed by Syrian government. The move would constitute a war crime, and breach Barack Obama’s so-called “red line.”
The response from the administration thus far? Crickets.
Despite a new U.S. intelligence community assessment that the Syrian regime likely used chemical weapons on its own people, the White House is still waiting for more evidence before deciding whether Bashar al-Assad has crossed President Barack Obama’s “red line.”
A senior White House official said on the conference call that the intelligence community’s assessment was not enough to determine that President Obama’s red line regarding U.S. intervention in Syria has been crossed.
In other words, Obama is flinching again, and his bogus “red line” was simply more bullsh*t.
The White House’s conclusion that not enough evidence exists to confirm that the Syrian regime has crossed Obama’s red line was contradicted Thursday by Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), the chairwoman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence.
“It is clear that ‘red lines’ have been crossed and action must be taken to prevent larger scale use,” she said in a statement.
Wow. When Dianne Freakin’ Feinstein is contradicting the administration…
The brilliant author is one of my favorites because his snark is even more caustic than my own.
Well that, and the fact that he looks like the G.I. Joe action figure from the 70′s.
Former brother-in-law Elmirza Khozhugov explains Tamerlan Tsarnaev’s grievances to the New York Times:
“He was angry that the world pictures Islam as a violent religion.”
So he blew up an eight-year old boy and a couple of hundred other Americans.
And now the media are full of stories about how the Tsarnaevs were all-American kids and “beautiful, beautiful boys” and maybe it was the boxing or the Ben Affleck movies or the classical music but, whatever it was, it was nothing to do with Islam. Nothing whatever.
But religion of peace… or something.
Remember the days after 9/11, when “our betters” in Washington claimed that we didn’t see the attacks coming because our federal agencies refused to share information? Remember how “our betters” claimed that that inter-agency wall would be torn down?
Eh, not so much.
Russian authorities alerted the US government not once but “multiple” times over their concerns about Tamerlan Tsarnaev – including a second time nearly a year after he was first interviewed by FBI agents in Boston – raising new questions about whether the FBI should have focused more attention on the suspected Boston Marathon bomber, according to US senators briefed on the probe Tuesday.
The FBI said it interviewed Tsarnaev in early 2011 after it was initially contacted by the Russians. After that review, the FBI has said, it determined he did not pose a threat.
How about now, guys?
In a closed briefing on Tuesday, members of the Senate Intelligence Committee learned that Russia alerted the United States about Tsarnaev in “multiple contacts” – including “at least once since October 2011,” said Richard Burr, a Republican of North Carolina.
Senators said the briefing also revealed failures among federal agencies to share vital information about Tsarnaev, indicating, they said, that the US government still has not established a strong system to “connect the dots” about would-be terrorists residing in America more than a decade after 9/11.
In short, like the Fast and Furious murders and the Benghazi terror attack, there is a good chance this Boston bombings could have been prevented. But hey, we’ll definitely be ready next time. Pinky swear.
Canadian law enforcement officials have arrested two men who were planning to bomb a passenger train traveling from Toronto to New York City. Sources claim the plotters were white male Tea Party members who were celebrating Hitler’s birthday. Or something.
Canadian security forces have thwarted a plot to attack passenger trains in the Toronto-area and arrested two men they believe were acting on the orders of al-Qaeda leader in Iran.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police say two men, who are not Canadian citizens, were planning to derail a train in the hopes of killing passengers and crew members.
Canadian authorities, though, were careful to make clear that this was not an instance of state-sponsored terrorism.
Nah, because as we all know, an Islamic terror state would never sponsor an Islamic terror attack inside America. /Headdesk
