Ohio Strippers Protest Church

Fed up with a local church protesting his strip club, a Warsaw, Ohio man has taken his dancers to the church lawn for a bikini sit-in.

The owner of an Ohio strip club and some of his dancers have been protesting at a church that has done the same to them for four years. Women in bikinis sat in camp chairs Sunday outside the New Beginnings Ministries church in Warsaw, about 60 miles northeast of Columbus.
Tommy George owns the Foxhole strip club in nearby Newcastle. He says he and his employees decided to start coming to the church because they were fed up.
Dunfee calls George a “parasite” and says seeing the protesters outside the church has strengthened the resolve of his flock.
And I’ll bet that the flock has grown by leaps and bounds since the protests started. Suddenly, all of the men have “found God.”

Reminds me of the Hooters club that ended “feminist” protests outside its doors. All it did was send the some Hooters gals out with free bottled water for the feminists … and make sure they got photographed together. Game over.

I loved this story when I was reading it to Sebastian the other day. It had me cracking up. One of the stripper protests signs also indicates that the pastor leading the protests is an admitted adulterer. I guess he couldn’t keep it in his pants, so he feels the need to punish all of them.

I wish a strip club would protest my office. Although none of my guys would go out and get any work done so might not be a good idea.

Looked it up, and Warsaw is in the heart of Ohio’s Amish/Mennonite country.

I’m very frustrated with the actions of this church, for sure. I don’t know why some churches do the craziest things, but this story inspired me to start a new series of reports on my blog about churches like this.
They would be surprised at what Jesus might say to them! What Jesus told the self-righteous religious leaders of his day so he might also say to the folks at the church in Warsaw Ohio, “I tell you the truth, the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God ahead of you” (Matthew 21:31).
