Lucy Lawless has always been a hottie, but in the Starz series “Spartacus,” she goes above and beyond.
Lucy Lawless is best known for role role as Xena in “Xena: Warrior Princess,” but fans are seeing a whole lot more of her in her new series ‘Spartacus.’ Lawless has shot several nude sex scenes for the Starz show, with both men and women.
Mental note: Get Starz immediately.
While reknowned for her buff bod on Xena, Lawless said she’s been able to be more natural on “Spartacus.”
“My character is not supposed to be ripped. She’s a woman. It’s Ancient Rome. It’s not like they were popping off to the gym every two seconds, but they were very image conscious, that’s for sure.”
I realize she is all made up, but she doesn’t look 42 to me.

I’ve been watching the show, it’s pretty darn good.
She is smoking hot in it, they show her breasts every show and they’re pretty darn nice. That must get every Xena fan all excited.
It’s probably fairly accurate for Rome, in other words, lots of nekkidity and slave wenches and brutal death.
Full frontal nudity, including the gladiators. So there’s something for everybody.
Yesterday’s show had a party where they were eating hors d’ouvres off a nekkid slave girl.
I almost didn’t watch it because they make the mistake everybody makes and I’m sure they did it because they think people are stupid, they have “thumbs up” mean “Let him live” and thumbs down mean the opposite when that’s exactly backward.
Thumbs down meant, “Drop your weapon”, i.e. let him live.
Thumbs up meant, “Kill him”.
Other than that it’s a good show, I look forward to it each week.
It’s the first soap opera I’ve watched since I was unemployed one summer back in the late 70s/early 80s and watched Luke and Laura and their troubles.
