Bar Refaeli: Draft Dodger?

By Wyatt Earp | January 15, 2010

According to a major general in the Israeli Defense Forces, supermodel Bar Refaeli “opted out” of serving her country. More succinctly, Refaeli is a draft-dodging toad. Hey, maybe she and Bill Clinton should swap phone numbers?

ISRAEL’S military has a new target in its sights, Israeli supermodel Bar Refaeli, Sky News reports. An Israel Defence Forces major general has even called for a boycott of products advertised by the blonde bombshell.

Refaeli was under fire for reportedly evading national service by marrying a family friend and divorcing him shortly afterward. Under Israeli law, married women do not have to serve the otherwise compulsory two years in the military.

Major General Avi Zamir called for a boycott of products she was associated with, naming Israeli clothing company Fox, Sky News said today.

“At the end of the day, she is the one who has to look at herself in the mirror,” he was quoted as saying.

With the general’s permission, I could look at her in the mirror. Okay, I’m just kidding. If this is true, it’s pretty despicable, if you ask me. Besides, lots of attractive people join the IDF . . .

Isn’t that right, ladies?

Or is this met with approval?

Some people have no sense of right, wrong or personal responsibility. I am amazed each and every day by some of the toads inhabiting this planet.

While I appreciate you posting pictures of boys, he’s really not that special. I think you selected that particular photograph because the gal in the red shirt has big snow tires.

MeToo – Personal responsibility? What’s that?

Mrs. Crankipants – Whew, you try to be nice. Let me see if I can find something better for ya.

Since we’ve already established that our taste in women are poles apart, I suppose the same is true for men.

    Number three is good!
    Thanks.

Mrs. Crankipants – Heh, heh, you said, “poles.” The fact that you have a taste in women is very, very hot. And I looked for IDF soldiers that weren’t completely covered up by body armor and helmets. Did the best I could.

I could do some looking. Particularly if she was nekkid and jumping rope.

    /somebody’s gotta do it!
//imagine the IDF soldier being assigned to that detail.

    good for her.
    conscription=slavery

its time for Israel (and other slave states to end this nonsense)

Fenway_Nation – He would be the one with the big smile on his face.

    MeToo – You’re welcome.

Cindy – Wow, that’s an ignorant comment, especially considering the Hebrews’ long history of being bound by slavery.

Maybe she needs a spanking for being a bad girl.

Cindy, really?! Israel has mandatory service because they are surrounded by nations that have sworn to destroy them.

having a conscript army emboldens Israeli politicians to be aggressive; with a smaller professional army they would have to make peace

Ingineer66 – Thank you for employing some common sense!

Cindy – Learn your history. Yugoslavia was a pretty aggressive country with a rather small army. Ask the people of Croatia, Bosnia, and Serbia how that worked out for them. Oh, and while you’re reading up on that, remind me the last time Israel declared war upon or invaded a country that wasn’t attacking them. I’ll wait.
