Phillies Fan FAIL

By Wyatt Earp | October 25, 2009

This, my friends, is friggin’ priceless!

And yes, that will probably be the only mention of the Phillies on this blog. Well, unless they win the World Series, and I can post video of more idiot Phillies fans making asses of themselves.

Teetop – Agreed. Hell, my entire career thrives off them!

Awesome. I enjoy it when Philly fans get their due.

HA! It is all the booze, too. Idiots.

He is now a brain aneurysm waiting to happen after that shot to his head, not that he was using his head anyway.

On one hand, it would be nice to see the Phillies win again, on the other it would not be so nice to see these idiots use this city as their personal toilet when they are “celebrating”.

When I saw the Youtube video of the moron who climbed to the top of a street light on Broad Street while his fellow idiots cheered, I kept saying to myself, “Please fall.”

It’s just not a good time unless you flip over someone’s car, break a store display window, or in my neighborhood- throw beer and soda cups in planters, dump your car ashtray and take out coffee cups on the sidewalk, or relieve yourself on a tree in broad daylight in front of small children. Things that you would never dream of doing in your own neighborhood, and let me add that I live far, far away from the stadium.

Come to think of it, I hope they lose.

And P.S. Good for the cabdriver!

I agree with everything you just said, Mrs. Crankipants. Except for the bit about how you want them to lose.

Sorry Raptor, that was a little harsh.

The parade last year was on Halloween, and they came through our neighborhood in droves- breaking bottles on the sidewalk, smashing pumpkins, dropping their take out food containers on the ground, (even though there was a trash can five feet away). I don’t understand why ripping an autumnal wreath off someone’s door and hurling it into the middle of the street is the way to celebrate your team’s victory. Like I said before, things that these people wouldn’t do in their own backyard, but it’s perfectly fine to do it here.

I suppose it will be just as bad (or worse) if they lose.

    Bitter – As do I.

RT – Because you can’t possibly enjoy a sporting event unless you wet yourself from the al-key-hol.

USAdmiral – And when he kicks, would the “celebration” have been worth it?

Mrs. Crankipants – I posted that video last year. Funniest thing I have ever seen. And I hope they lose, too. I’d rather see riots in New York before Philly. Besides, I’d have to work it if they win.

    Raptor – Go Yankees! Heh.

Mrs. Crankipants – I was watching the live feed from Cottman Avenue the night they won the NLCS. After trying to assault some of the officers on scene, the mob started chanting, “F**k the Cops!”

Yeah, I want them to lose. Big time.

I guess I am getting old. I do not understand the need to get so drunk at a sporting event that you cannot remember what happened. Not to say that I have never been pretty drunk from a day of tailgating at a game, it just seems like a waste to be obliterated like many fans get.

As for the chant about the Cops, that seems to be norm around here lately near the college when you get a big drunk crowd being dispersed by the police.

Okay so let me get this straight. Sabatha will probably pitch for the Damn Yankees and Cliff Lee will probably pitch for the Phillies both at some point, so we have a Cleveland pitcher vs. a Cleveland pitcher..putting finger to lips..wubba wubba wubba. And we sold/traded ‘em both in about a year???

ps Just in case you didn’t notice this.

PHILADELPHIA (AP)—The San Jose Sharks sure looked quite fresh in the finale of a grueling six-game road trip.

Manny Malhotra got his first two goals of the season, Dany Heatley and Jed Ortmeyer also scored and the San Jose Sharks beat the Philadelphia Flyers 4-1 Sunday night.

Ingineer66 – Yeah, it’s a thankless job – made more special with “stick time.”

Jon – As a fellow Indians fan, I can just shake my head. And Acta??? Are they serious???

Ingineer66 – I would stand a parade line for the Flyers. Not for any other Philly team, but I would for the Flyers.

After the Raiders performance yesterday, I have to relish that one sports team that I like is doing ok.

Be careful that you don’t do stick time like the San Jose cops did last weekend. A couple of them are probably in big trouble. Don’t know the whole story yet, but the video looks pretty bad when they hit a guy with a baton that is on the ground, handcuffed and is crying like a baby and has already been tasered.
