Idiot Philly Officer Runs Check On Obama

So what, did this dope think he could run an NCIC-PCIC check on the freakin’ President of the United States without anyone noticing? Good Lord, guys this stupid are usually promoted to Captain by now!
Remember kids: It only takes a single moron to make the entire department look stupid.
CBS 3 has learned a Philadelphia Police officer is under investigation after attempting to perform a background check on the President of the United States.
Police said an officer with the 18th District did a search on President Barack Obama from his patrol car computer, which is normally used to provide instant background information on suspects.
The search was immediately flagged and an investigation was launched. Officials said no personal information of the President was released. (H/T – CBS3)

Dear Reader has some shady stuff in his background. Unfortunately, I don’t think an NCIC is really going to yield anything but pain for the dooooomas who ran the check.
Now, had he did this on someone elses computer as a prank, that would be funny…

One of our local deputies somehow acquired Ronald Reagan’s DL number back in the early 90s. As a lark, he called it in to a rookie dispatcher.
They say the official call to the sheriff came about 5 minutes after they keyed it into the computer. The Secret Service takes a very dim view of such things, even for past Presidents.

Dave – We used have access to JNET, where we could look up driver license photos from anywhere in PA. Some idiot supervisor was looking up Phillies players and got jammed up for it – and rightly so.

I hate to say it but I could see myself doing that out of sheer boredom. Of course, I’m also ADHD, forget things easily, and won’t be a cop anytime in the foreseeable future (my dad has seen to that).
I imagine they tell you not to do that type of stuff at the academy though.
