Green Comet To Pass By Earth Next Week

WASHINGTON — An odd, greenish backward-flying comet is zipping by Earth this month, as it takes its only trip toward the sun from the farthest edges of the solar system.
The comet is called Lulin, and there’s a chance it can be seen with the naked eye — far from city lights, astronomers say. But you’ll most likely need a telescope, or at least binoculars, to spot it.
The best opportunity is just before dawn one-third of the way up the southern sky. It should be near Saturn and two bright stars, Spica and Regula.
On Monday at 10:43 p.m. EST, it will be 38 million miles from Earth, the closest it will ever get, according to Donald Yeomans, manager of NASA’s Near Earth Object program. (H/T – FOXNews)

With your luck, it’ll be more like Night of the Comet, and you and Rosie O’Donnell will be the last two survivors on Earth.

You are evil! I was hoping for a really cool picture of a comet, not a picture of Comet! But then I should know better by now with you.

That said, one line from Night of the Comet is one we all can appreciate.
When the two teenage sisters first had to fight off the zombies, the cheerleader blonde said ‘Daddy would have gotten us Uzis’.

That would be an adequate can of eye bleach when needed.

They’re lying, I’ve seen green clouds of gas on this planet before. Especially after a big dinner of red beans and rice.
