Lillo Brancato, Jr Acquitted In Cop Killing

Celebrity has its privileges.
NEW YORK — Lillo Brancato Jr., an actor who appeared in “The Sopranos,” was acquitted of the 2005 killing an off-duty New York City police officer but found guilty of attempted burglary.
Brancato, 32, was also acquitted of two counts of burglary, but could face three to 15 years in prison on the attempted burglary charge. He has already served three years, according to his attorney, Joseph Tacopina.
If there is any justice, Brancato will spend 15 years in prison, and get sodomized every single day. In reality, he’ll get three years - with time served. Disgraceful.
Police officer Daniel Enchautegui, 28, was killed trying to break up a burglary attempt at his neighbor’s house in the Bronx in December 2005.
That’s when prosecutors said Armento shot the officer through the heart with his .357 Magnum.
Armento was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole in November. The jury in that trial took less than six hours to convict Armento.
And they dropped the ball on Brancato, in my opinion.
Enchautegui was shot in the chest by Armento when he interrupted the alleged robbery, but managed to shoot both suspects multiple times before dying.
“This jury spoke loud and clear, that Lillo had nothing to do with the murder of this police officer,” Tacopina said. (H/T - CNN)
Bullshit. First of all, Brancato was there, doped up, and already in the process of committing a felony. Second, he had no idea that Officer Enchautegui was a cop, because he was dressed in civilian clothes. Personally, I think that if Brancato had a gun, there is no reason to think he wouldn’t have shot the officer. And finally, the jury acquitted Brancato because everyone in New York knows who this tool bag is (or was). He was acquitted because he was famous. End of story.
I feel terribly for Officer Enchautegui’s family.

OJ II. Fuckin’ piece of shit should be hanging from the end of a very stout rope. Yo, Lillo, you pussy, how about facing someone, one on one, so you can have your ass handed to you?
You watch, Wyatt, some day this colostomy bag, filled with syphilis-infused pus and sperm, will be eulogized as a “great humanitarian and a good guy” who “always had the best interests of everyone he ever met“.
May he be anally-raped for all eternity in the 9th circle of Hell.

He was acquited because the prosecution’s case was a joke. They had to prove he knew Armento had a gun. They didn’t even try because they were incompetent. They had no evidence to support the charge so the jury, rightly, didn’t convict him of the charge (which is the point of a trial). Brancato is hardly a Hollywood star with clout. If the prosecution can’t make a convincing case (which they didn’t at all), the jury can’t charge him with the offense. Wanting someone to be sodomized who was acquited by a jury of his peers just speaks your collosal ignorance.

B.C. - But he didn’t pull the trigger, so he CAN’T be guilty! /sarc
John Payne - Really? Evidence to support a charge is the point of a jury trial? Wow, I wish I had learned that after 14 years as a police detective. Thank you. Thank you so much for showing me the light! You sir, are the greatest hero in American history! They will shout your name from the rooftops, and create golden idols in your likeness!!!
(Oh, and you spelled “colossal” wrong, and “acquittal” wrong . . . twice! Idiot.)
Rick - Can’t do that. Then how will we enjoy his thespian genius??? /double sarc
