SYLG’s 3,000th Post!

Unfortunately, this post will probably as droll as the first 2,999.
I started this blog by writing about a post a day. As my readership grew, I started to pump out (heh, heh, “pump out”) more and more posts to keep everyone happy. Now, I am at a fairly regular number of four posts a day. Some have been terrible, a few have been great, but I still think that the majority have just been okay.
To be honest with you, blogging is a lot of work. Well, good blogging is a lot of work. Any schlub can throw a post and a photo together (See also: SYLG). It takes talent to write interesting posts that other people want to read.
And now, a completely irrelevant photo of Katherine Heigl:
That doesn’t mean that I don’t try.
And despite what RT may tell you, I don’t have that talent. Don’t get me wrong, I get readers - more readers than I ever thought - but, in the grand scheme of things, I am the blogger equivalent of a rodeo clown. People read SYLG to see what stupid thing I will do or write next.

For the record, this is not a plea for compliments. That’s not my style. I plea for hits. I plea for links. I do not plea for compliments. I am my own worst critic, and no matter who tells me that I rock royal, I will disagree. So don’t waste your typing skills.
Of course, this is not meant as a bitch post. I love blogging - more so now with the new site; it reinvigorated me - and I love knowing that some of you are entertained by my antics. I know I say this a lot, but without you good people, I would be nothing. I would be the Keith Olbermann of the blogosphere. No talent, no readership. It would suck ass.
So, this post (and the photos) is just another excuse to thank you all for showing up and (hopefully) reading my blog. It’s not much, but it’s all mine. Thank you for being a part of it.

Entertaining is right. A snarkfest most of the time. Keep it up and you may be a bull rider some day.

Plus, you know, if I ever get back to Philly, it’s nice to know I’ll, you know, know someone - and a cop to boot - who can help me order a sammich.

Oh yeah! Thank’s for the picture of Christian Bale. Such a good actor, and a yummy piece of eye candy. Makes me wish I was a lot younger……..

I don’t like looking at pictures of Christian Bale. He always looks like a big, tall person. But from what I hear, he’s like an inch shorter than me…I’ve been told I’m short.

Well, I can’t do it. I enjoy your blog, I usually get something out of it- even if it’s just a giggle. So rattle out another 3000 would ya? I need some serious giggle therapy.
