Barack And Michelle’s Excellent Adventure

By Wyatt Earp | November 4, 2010

President Obama is celebrating his party’s humiliating defeat by taking an all expenses paid (by us) trip to fabulous, sunny India on Saturday.

I mentioned this story last week, but no one knew the cost at the time. Well, the numbers are in, and they are big enough to choke a donkey:

Seemingly every election day estimate predicting increasingly bad news for Democrats is met by an exponential rise in the cost to taxpayers for President Obama’s “I’m outta here” world tour:

The US would be spending a whopping $200 million per day on President Barack Obama’s visit to the city.

About 3,000 people including Secret Service agents, US government officials and journalists would accompany the President. Several officials from the White House and US security agencies are already here for the past one week with helicopters, a ship and high-end security instruments.

A four-day trip at $200 million a day. Do the math. To put that number in perspective, Obama could give almost every person living in Houston, Texas a new iPhone 4 for that price – and have 408,741 left over. But this fool has the nerve to lecture others about spending?

For that money, he should at least get to bed Aishwarya Rai:

Man, 2012 can’t come soon enough.

What? No Namitha? That’s like Bollywood and Christina Hendricks all rolled into one voluptuous, saree-clad bundle!!

And Oh yeah……the President is a clueless out of touch dolt. I like how he totally blew off visiting a Sikh temple because he didn’t want to be photographed in a turban to fuel some sort of speculation that he’s a clandestine Muslim….then agrees to go visit a mosque in Indonesia….which I’m sure will head off any or all ‘clandestine Muslim’ talk…

Way to piss off the world’s largest democracy, douchebag.

I like the way Fenway thinks:)

Since the last few months have been strenuous on us all
I suggest we relax and have a few laughs the next couple days and play a word game. Each time we hear the word…repudiation…we should break into gleeful mirth
and have a good guffaw on obambi and pelosi. As an example: “Last Teusday’s vote was a…repudiation…of the liberal agenda.” BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! God I feel better already.

Lucky for us, the Republican Tsunami has hit and will clean up everything on Jan 1.

  5. Wyatt Earp Says:
    November 4th, 2010 at 8:17 am

    DL474 – Agreed.

Fenway – No, no, no, the best thing we can hope for is that he stays out of touch. It’ll be much easier to oust him in 2012 that way.

Jon – I like Pelosi’s gift of prognostication. Especially when she assured everyone early Tuesday that the polls are showing the Dems will keep the House. Sure, Nance. Time to go now.

Randal – $800 million for a four-day trip. Even you cannot find this acceptable. Besides, the Republican Tsunami helped sweep out Patrick Murphy. To quote President Obama, “You should be thanking me.”

I am trying to wrap my brain around that number.

  7. Kim Says:
    November 4th, 2010 at 8:49 am

$200,000,000 per day! That is way too many zeros. Could I have 1% of that? I can split that with equally with 8 people and be perfectly happy. I’d have everything paid off with money left over.

Just 1% is all I ask and I will share. Think they’ll give it to me? Would they even miss it on this trip?

  8. Wyatt Earp Says:
    November 4th, 2010 at 8:55 am

RT – Yeah, it’s almost other-worldly for a normal person.

Kim – I could easily live off $200,000 a year. We have simple tastes.

  9. Vince Lyons Says:

I hate to defend Obama… The concept just rubs me the wrong way.

However, apparently the 200 mil a day number was traced to a blogger in India. The real number is unknown and 200 mil per day is a internet urban legend.

The last number available for comparisson is Clinton’s trip to Asia which ran a total of 50 million for the whole trip.

Granted, I’m sure inflation has pushed the number up a bit and we mere mortal citizens will pay more than that for the “2010 World Apology Tour” but 200 mil a day has to be enough to buy ALL the escort F15′s plus have enough left over for a six-pack or two.

  10. Wyatt Earp Says:
    November 4th, 2010 at 9:14 am

Vince – That would be good news. Although the two jumbo jets – besides AFO – and the 570 rooms rented are a tad excessive, no?

  11. Vince Lyons Says:
    November 4th, 2010 at 9:40 am

Yeah, might be a bit much.

Then again I’ve never been to one of his ‘beer summits’ so I don’t know just how big they get.

I imagine when the big O throws an international kegger it can get kinda big and I’m sure he wants people to stay over instead of drive home and risk a DWW (driving while wasteful).

  12. Jon Brooks Says:
    November 4th, 2010 at 10:13 am

Wyatt- Yah that reminded me of Hitler in his bunker the last days of WW2 with his aides telling him everything was ..hunky dory. Until he found out and we know how that ended. She was never really a big believer in reality was she? LOL

  13. Wyatt Earp Says:
    November 4th, 2010 at 10:27 am

Vince – Apparently, he is also taking 34 warships with him. Thirty. Four. Warships.

Jon – I don’t like the Hitler comparisons, but she had no problem sharing her distorted version of reality with the world.

  14. Randal Graves Says:
    November 4th, 2010 at 10:56 am

If it actually was $200, of course I would think it’s disgraceful. My point was that probably costs about the same to send Obama to India for 4 days as it did Bush or Clinton.

  15. bob (either orr) Says:
    November 4th, 2010 at 11:03 am

    Defund Obama. Simple as that.

  16. John D Says:
    November 4th, 2010 at 11:17 am

Just think of it as stimulus for the economy… India’s economy.

  17. Wyatt Earp Says:
    November 4th, 2010 at 11:21 am

Randal – Probably more now, in a worse economy, and by a man who is shoving “green” down our throats. He’s taking AFO and two other jumbo jets, security jets and 45 vehicles. For who? India? Seriously? This is waste for waste’s sake.

Although I could end every Obama article with “Clinton and Bushes probably did the same thing.”

Bob – I plan to help with that in 2012.

John D – Maybe we should have heads of state come here more often to help stimulate our economy. Lord knows the stimulus plans aren’t working.

  18. Ferrell Gummitt Says:
    November 4th, 2010 at 11:36 am

    Outsource Obama to India.

This is pure insanity. Go ahead Mr. President continue your “Progressive Agenda” but early on the evening of 11/6/2012 expect a projection that you have just been declared a one term President by the voters of the US of A.

..and don’t cry in your beer.

  19. Ingineer66 Says:

Well I wonder how much it cost for Air Force One to sneak into Iraq un-escorted for Thanksgiving in 2003 when W. wanted to go on a surprise trip to see the troops. You know the one where a British Airways pilot radioed in that he just saw AF1 over the Atlantic and they called him and said he was mistaken it was a Gulf Stream V.

  20. richard mcenroe Says:
    November 4th, 2010 at 12:00 pm

He’s loading those warships up with Gurkha mercenaries to come back and liberate the American Heartland from Sarah Palin…

Or maybe he’s thinking of defecting.

I’m not surprised he’s not visiting the Sikh temple. Considering how many Muslims the Sikhs have killed, no good mussulman would…

  21. Wyatt Earp Says:
    November 4th, 2010 at 12:03 pm

Ferrell – Hello, this is Barack speaking. Can you tell me your computer problem?

Ingineer66 – I had my problems with Bush – immigration, TARP, etc. – but his devotion to the troops is beyond reproach.

Richard – I’d rather him load up the warships with some IT jobs and bring them back here.

There, I fixed it for ya. heh.

  23. Smite A. Hippie Says:
    November 4th, 2010 at 1:23 pm

Vince – it’s not just 2 jumbo’s on top of AF1, it’s convoy of 40 aircraft total! …on top of the 34 warship flotilla now too, as Wyatt mentioned.

  24. PhillipC Says:
    November 4th, 2010 at 3:19 pm

Forty aircraft, 34 warships, our CIC… We shouldn’t deploy that many of our assets if we aren’t invading. Geez.

I know we don’t want to conquer India, because then who would do our tech support?

  25. Ingineer66 Says:
    November 4th, 2010 at 4:41 pm

Exactly Wyatt. He made plenty of mistakes, but he was sure not looking for the rock-star lifestyle the current resident is living.

AF1 is actually two VC-25As. Both always go on Presidential trips.Except for Bill Clinton. He had a stash of Maui Wowee!
SOP says ya gotta have a spare. Even the wrench turners in the 89th know that. And there are C-17s or C-5s to haul the helos and limo. That has been that way for a while.
But to have most of the Fifth Fleet off shore while engaged in hostilities in two theaters is irresponsible. And an entire hotel for 3,000 advisors, staff and the the state media organs is going overboard. 200 million bucks a day. I guess president fuckhead did not get the message on Tuesday. I call for impeachment, with criminal proceedings.

Just read this morning (11/5/10) that a Pak spokesman said this may further destabilize relations between India, Pakistan and the US by bypassing Pakistan for 3 days in India. Maybe his parting gift for us for 2012 will be a nuke war between the two. Now if we give India all that is needed for a 100% successful first strike capability
I can see how this might really end a large portion of the worlds headaches.

I wonder how many ice packs the poor Indian prez must have under his turban from the Obamessiah saying “I’m sorry your country isn’t as good as the US” over and over.

President Roosevelt flew to Malta during active WAR in Europe in one plane!

Maybe we can just put is royal ass on some local golf course for the next two years eh?

$200,000,000 a day, now add another half a billion for a battle group drive by.

Vonage connection, $24.99 a month, international calls included.

Day one, he and Jemima danced a jig, talked to a bunch of students, and praised India for the modern US hotel and call centers.

CNO and DOD confirm that almost one-sixth of the active fleet will not be there. In a shooting war, ya know. Even the dickweed in chief may have figured that out.
But most of this is now fluff to direct attention from the ass whipping the Dem Coms got last Tuesday night.
