Obama Killing Missile Defense Sites?

According to The Weekly Standard, it’s true.
This has to be a joke, right? I mean, we wouldn’t sell out Poland and the Czech Republic – home of my ancestors – to kiss up to Vladimir frakkin’ Putin, would we? That KGB rat bastard has done nothing but thumb his nose at America – and more specifically, Obama – for nine months now, and we’re going to reward him for it? Ace has the flaming (and exploding) skull:
Capitulation to Putin, for nothing, at the expense of allies. And oh– Iran will have nuclear-tipped missiles in two years:
According to reliable sources, Obama administration officials are on their way to Poland and the Czech Republic to deliver very bad news. The administration intends to cancel completely the missile defense sites that had been promised to these governments by the previous administration. This represents a complete capitulation to Russia’s Vladimir Putin, who had demanded that the proposed deployments be halted as a price for improved relations. Ironically, the Obama administration, which is appeasing Russia in the hopes that Moscow will help put pressure on Iran, has made this mammoth concession just a few days after Moscow declared that it had no intention of supporting sanctions against Iran.
Carter II, huh? You wish it were Carter II.
Unbelievable. I hope it’s just a vicious rumor, because if not, we just lost all credibility (and trust) with our European allies. Someone needs to give President Obama a history lesson. Both Poland and the Czech Republic have been on the receiving end of Soviet invasions in the past 70 years. A missile defense system (or even the threat of one) would stave off another one.
And the president thought the “world community” didn’t like us, before? I’ll bet Poland and the Czech Republic just love us now.

Wyatt, it’s even worse: Obama sold out the Poles and Czechs on the VERY ANNIVERSARY of the USSR’s invasion of Poland. And he sold out Ukraine and Georgia as well.
Basically Obama’s idea of a “reset” in foreign policy is to give Putin carte blanche to reestablish the Warsaw Pact…except this time Germany might get to keep its eastern half.
If only because with the Russian gas pipelines to Western Europe, Putin already has all of Germany by the balls…

The very first thing Obama did in foreign policy was to humiliate the prime minister of our closest ally, Britain. Now he’s abandoning our new allies in Central and Eastern Europe – allies who voluntarily shared blood in Iraq and Afghanistan to help build that alliance! – and undercutting valued Latin American partners like Honduras for the benefit of the likes of the Castros and Hugo Chavez. Not to mention that he almost sparked a trade war with our biggest trading partner (Canada) during last year’s presidential campaign…and in the middle of the biggest economic slump since the Great Depression, is bidding fair to do the same with China (such as the new tariffs on Chinese tires).
And, as you pointed out, he got exactly nothing for his efforts.
Carter II? No. Obama will go down in history as a cross between Neville Chamberlain and Herbert Hoover. And America will be lucky to survive even one term with this idiot as President…and after but one term in office, Obama will leave America not only bankrupted but alone in the world, with all our existing enemies still in place and no allies to help us out.
And probably by design. I don’t think anybody could possibly be this stupid purely by accident.

Obama is so busy bending over and grabbing his ankles for the countries in the middle east who don’t give a rodents hiney that he is going to cost us all our European allies. The guy needs to go back to school for a long, long history lesson.

Hey, he’s selling out Israel to curry favor with . . . Iran. And the Iranians responded by basically spitting in his face. Let’s face it, there’s no ally won’t sell out, and no enemy whose ass he won’t kiss. This guy makes Jimmy Carter look like Abraham frickin’ Lincoln. And that ain’t easy.

Wes nails it. I too believe that this guy is determined, on purpose, to weaken us as much as possible and one of his benefactors, George Soros is chuckling right now. I am sounding like a conspiracy nut I know, but this I truly believe and Wes above nails it right on the head. If he destroys America then the profit motive is lost for whoever is really backing him, be it an individual or a cabal. If he weakens us too much then enemies of his backers could take over first so the first stage is to get us out and off the world stage almost entirely so his buds can run rampant and form the needed alliances that will force the capitualtion, in whole and undestroyed, that they require of us at a later date. The burgeoning racial divide is also another tactic, encouraging it behind the scenes while opposing it verbally. To paraphrase, its similar to what Robert the Bruce the father, told Robert the Bruce the son in Braveheart…’I'll order this rebellion backed in the North while seeming to oppose it in the South, and also knowing your noble’s minds is the key to the throne of Scotland.’ We are being sold out peeps!
