CIA To Israel: Drop Dead

There’s nothing more infuriating when a country tells Israel that they need to restrain themselves. It is especially infuriating when a country tells them they need to show restraint against the country who wants to wipe them off the face of the Earth. In this case, Iran.
And before you ask, the country asking for restraint is not some liberal Utopia like France of Switzerland. The country in question is the United States of America.
Israel knows it needs to coordinate its strategy on Iran with other nations and that attacking Teheran’s nuclear facilities would mean “big trouble,” CIA director Leon Panetta said on Wednesday.
And if they don’t ask our permission first, what will the Obama administration do, write them a poison pen letter?
Acknowledging that he had recently traveled to Israel to meet Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and warn him against a strike on Iran, the CIA chief told Global Viewpoint that he “felt assured” Israel would not break ranks with Washington’s strategy.
“Yes,” he said, “the Israelis are obviously concerned about Iran and focused on it. But [Netanyahu] understands that if Israel goes it alone, it will mean big trouble. He knows that for the sake of Israeli security, they have to work together with others.”
And they have to play well with others, or else Shrillary Clinton will send them to Time Out. Idiot.
Panetta said that the threat posed by Iran “has our full attention,” asserting that despite the Obama administration’s strategic decision to engage Teheran diplomatically, “no one is naïve about the challenges.” (H/T - The Jerusalem Post)
I would be lying if I said I believed Panetta here.
Of course, no one wants to see a shooting war between Iran and Israel. That being said, if Obama, Panetta, and the CIA think that a promise of “big trouble” is going to scare the Israelis when their very existence is being threatened, they are sadly mistaken.
When it all comes down to it, Israel will do what it does best: Take care of themselves.

My sentiments exactly and well put. In fact my outlook
is that Israel strike Iran as soon as possible. Yes this will put our men and women in harms way also but will also put the Iranians out of commison that much faster when we retaliate for their strikes against us, as they have said they will. Am I a warmonger..no..but the longer this plays out the higher the casualties on both sides will be as time goes on. So why not go now when the price is alot smaller. If we allow them to get nukes and then Israell strikes it goes nuclear off the bat, rather than staying conventional if we/they go now. If it goes nuclear between Iran and Israel later that will also pull in Russia and China and us and the whole ball of wax, resulting in a nuclear winter whose only good point will be to stop global warming. I think not going now just adds an extra 10 to 100 thousand caualties per month onto the total of when they finally do. For instance when Russia finally gives/sells them the Sa-300’s there will be Russian advisors being “blowed up real good” also (as John Candy and the beaver used to say on 2nd City TV in the farmer/redneck skit) then Russia will become involved. So GO NOW and GO HARD! This will also have the good point of distracting obambi and wrecking the homefront agenda that is destroying us economically, when it shows how inept he is at handling the ramifications of the crisis and hopefully keep him from consolidating his power and ultimately be voted out.
The other sie of the coin..they allow Iran to get the bomb, Iran really does try to destroy Israel which they very well might be able to, but before she goes down the Samson Doctrine (which is all out retaliation against every enemy with all the nukes she has before she dies)
ensures the death of at least 300 to 500 million arabs/muslims in a myriad of countrys. So where is the choice?

Isreal has to do what she needs to do to survive. Obama and Panetta need to just shut up.

Isreal’s real problem with this op is flying from point A to point B and back without getting shot down. They have no carriers…
It might just have to be a one way trip for the aircraft… (The pilots may need to bail)
The other option is to fly right over Iraq both ways and basicly dare Obama to stop them.
This might get real ugly…
