Happy Birthday, Allison!

Today is my favorite sister’s birthday. Okay, she’s my only sister, but she’s my favorite nonetheless. Allison is 26-years old now, which means she’ll be celebrating with al-key-hol and, um, al-key-hol.
As you can guess, Allison is much younger than I am. I spent most of my high school years raising her, feeding her, and changing her diapers. One of the drawbacks to having two working parents is that the oldest kid gets to be the built-in babysitter. But then again, it is also one of the blessings.
Besides, she has more than paid me back for all of that, and is a terrific aunt to my four children. Happy birthday, Al! We love you.
