A Poor Man’s British Invasion
By Wyatt Earp | April 25, 2011
Note to British thieves: look into your vehicles before you break into them.
Teenage thieves targeting vans parked on a council estate forced open the doors of one – and were confronted by four SAS men on a stakeout. Two of the “Who Dares Wins” heroes stayed put while the other two chased the panic-stricken tearaways and gave them “a bit of a slap”.
“They were trying their luck on every van in the estate, looking for tools they could pinch.” The SAS surveillance team was on a night-time counter-terrorism training exercise in Manchester. (H/T – Dustyvet)
It’s a shame a team member’s MP5 didn’t go off “accidentally” during the pursuit.

Damn. Maybe you shouldn’t try to steal from vans.

Reminds me of that scene in Code of Silence where the two moronic crooks try to rob the bar where all the off-duty cops hang out. They wind up with a couple dozen guns pointed at them. One of the cops says, “Which one of you is the brains of this operation?”

Sean – Or stealing in general.
John D – We have a few places like that here. Some of the patrons and just begging for someone to try.
Proof – Not bloody likely.
Old NFO – Smash the window to see the heavy artillery and a sniper rifle? Yeah, that’s a wet pants moment.

You think it was really just a training mission, or do you think they were staking out a Mosque?

“I say, what are all these bloody red dots doing on me junk”

Mr. M – Hopefully, they were staking out a mosque.
Hutch – “Um . . . it’s chickenpox. Go about your business!”

This reminds me of when I lived in Maryland. These two genius bank robbers decided to hit this bank in D.C. THey spent weeks planning it, down to the minute.
This bank was across the street from the FBI headquarters in the District. They hit it on FBI payday (this was before direct deposit was huge)…and they did it about 10 minutes after FBI shift change. There were also a lot of Secret Service guys in there depositing their pay too. My next door neighbor was one of them, heh.

Ranba – That’s mind-boggling. Way to scout your location, dumbasses!
