Chris Christie Is Overweight: With Awesome!

By Wyatt Earp | January 6, 2011

Since his election, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has been angering all of the right people: Democrats, union thugs, and do-nothing state employees.

The do-nothings decry the Republican’s policies, even though those policies are fixing a long-broken state. Frustrated that their Democrat meal ticket is gone, they rip Christie’s weight, but fail to realize that the governor is fat because he’s always chock full of good ideas!

“The four-year-old state Division of Minority and Women Business Development has been quietly dismantled by the administration of Gov. Chris Christie, which continues to register small businesses and help them obtain state government contracts on a race- and gender-neutral basis,” according to NJ Biz. (H/TAce of Spades)

The Division of Minority and Women Business Development? Are you kidding me?

So, Christie eliminates a useless government agency that probably cost the taxpayers millions. I would ask, “What’s not to like,” but I know better. Some race-baiting moron will be screaming about this before the end of the week.

Yeah, Al Sharpton and like, Oprah Winfrey are going to give their unnecessary two cents on this issue. Good work though Christie, it sucks people lost their job, but really was that a necessary department?

Did the Division of Minority and Women Business Development cover the transgendered as well, or did they have their own state agency?

I like Christie, he is a kick in the balls to Dems, Progressives and Unions.

Meanwhile in IL Governor Quinn is looking to increase State taxes.

Gov Christie would be welcome in IL to run for Governor.

Again, what is not to like???

Wow, Ferrell, that’s outrageously stupid. Even uber-liberal Andrew Cuomo has finally figured out what a bad idea that is.

“I came here to govern, not to worry about re-election.”

I’m smitten, how can you not love this guy?
    Embrace the chunk Chris!
When you’re finished mopping up New Jersey,
feel free to move over to The White House.

Question: How can you tell a group of Liberals?
Answer: They are the ones burning the Constitution

Q: What do you get when you offer a Liberal a penny for his thoughts?

    A: Change.

Dr. Evil – No, it was completely unnecessary, which is why it is so awesome that he eliminated it.

John D – They probably have their own, which is most likely being targeted by Christie as we speak.

Ferrell – He is the new Reagan . . .or maybe he ate the old one?

John D – Wait, we can’t tax our way out of debt?

    Dusrtvet – Constant fiscal mismanagement?

Mrs. Crankipants – Zogby released a poll this week saying Christie is the only big GOP name that would beat Obama if the election were held today.

    JT – As do I.

    Dusrtvert – Nicely done.

Christie seems to “get it.” I’m a bigger fan since he interceded for Brain Aitkin, but I’m all for him trimming the fat from the NJ budget.

Wait a minute, now NJ has both Christie and Booker? Who let the smart people in?

  13. Ian Argent Says:

My vote for him was probably the first “positive” (as in I voted FOR him, not AGAINST his opponent) ever. I’ve been reasonably pleased with the result.

Fenway – Good point. With Pelosi and Reid at the helm, who knows what depths they can drop to?

Lou – They must have crossed the border in the dead of night.

Ian – If I lived across the river, I would have voted for him.

I heard about this on the drive up here. (Indiana. The baby is coming in the next 24 hours.) I was cheering and probably got some strange looks from other vehicles.

    Go Chris

  17. Wyatt Earp Says:
    January 7th, 2011 at 12:01 am

Kim – He’s not a perfect politician, but he’s trying to do what’s necessary to fix New Jersey. No easy task.

Rick – Right to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue!

  18. NJConservative Says:
    January 7th, 2011 at 12:12 am

He’s also angering all the conservatives in NJ. But you’re probably not from NJ and only believe the BS spin you see on the Internet and put out by the ignorant pundits day in and day out about him.

  19. Wyatt Earp Says:
    January 7th, 2011 at 12:24 am

NJConservative – Yeah, I don’t know a thing about New Jersey, since I live so far away from there. If only I was closer to his home base, like in Philadelphia or something. Yeah, that would be sweet.

  20. Jim Says:
    January 7th, 2011 at 5:48 am

I spent the first third of my life in south Jersey, and still pay attention to what goes on there. Over the years I’ve considered moving “home”, but the economic and political climate over rode nostalgia. Christie makes me think that there’s still hope for my home state. I am (very cautiously) optimistic that Rick Scott can do something similar here in Florida.

  21. Ian Argent Says:
    January 7th, 2011 at 7:35 am

For goodness sake – he’s miles more conservative than either former Senator who can’t be bothered to wear their seatbelts. The Sun will go cold before we get a perfect presidential candidate.

  22. Wyatt Earp Says:
    January 7th, 2011 at 1:20 pm

Jim – That’s my point. After a lot of losers, Christie looks like he is doing what’s best for New Jersey. Of course he’s not perfect, but he’s better than anyone else in recent memory.

Ian – Agreed. People want perfection when perfection is not available. Christie is doing a lot of good things. Ride the wave!

  23. Ian Argent Says:
    January 7th, 2011 at 5:40 pm

And, to be perfectly honest, I’m not that kind of conservative. He’s fiscally conservative, which is good enough for me at this point.
