University To Offer Zombie 101
By Wyatt Earp | September 7, 2010
Did you hear that? That was my good friend loading her shotgun and registering.
When she was at West Chester University, Mrs. Earp took Beginning Swimming as her Phys. Ed. elective. The young Mrs. Earp was a star for her swim team and a lifeguard for years. I give her a lot of flak for that – because I was the idiot taking Russian History and Shakespeare – but Beginning Swimming seems like Nuclear Physics compared to this:
The University of Baltimore is offering a new class on the undead. The course is being taught by Arnold Blumberg, the author of a book on zombie movies, “Zombiemania,” and the curator of Geppi’s Entertainment Museum, which focuses on American pop culture.
Students taking English 333 will watch 16 classic zombie films and read zombie comics. As an alternative to a final research paper they may write scripts or draw storyboards for their ideal zombie flicks.
Finally, a college course that makes you use your brainsssss!

Democrats in training.
I read that and am now wondering what type of classes will be offered in the next 10+ years when my children head that way. Armed with shotguns of course.
May God forgive our stupidity
Shoot…I should be teaching that class. lol
My son LOVES “The Zombie Survival Guide”. I feel safe to knowing he can protect us in a zombie attack when it happens.
Robert B. – I thought only dead Dems voted, not the undead.
Kim – Star Wars 101 – Who Shot First, Han Or Greedo?
Rick – Hey, when the apocalypse comes you’ll wish you took the course!
DL474 – My thoughts exactly!
Deanna – There’s always a really smart person in those films. He fits that role.
Oy…I teach harder classes.
Glad my kids don’t go there.
Tech school for my grandkids is sounding more appealing.
RT – English. Pfft, when am I ever going to England?
Bob – I definitely expected PSU to be carrying this.
Rabidfox – They do good work.
Wyatt: How can you do a post on zombies without the greatest movie line ever?
Zombie Tony….
