September 16, 1810 – Mexico Declares Its Independence From Spain

Knowing your history can sometimes help you elude embarrassment and ridicule. The current president never learned this:

Smartest president . . . evah! (Note that he removes “by their Creator” from the Declaration of Independence quote at the 1:00 mark.)

This man just doesn’t like this country, and he is completely ignorant of its history:

“Long before America was even an idea, this land of plenty was home to many peoples. The British and French, the Dutch and Spanish, to Mexicans, to countless Indian tribes. We all shared the same land,” President Obama told the Congressional Hispanic Caucus.

Mexico declared its independence on September 16, 1810. It was recognized on September 27, 1821. The United States of America declared its independence in 1776.

This video makes my eyes bleed. “Mexicans” did not appear as a cultural or national identity until after their war of independence. That was 1821. “Americans” appeared culturally and nationally at the start of the Revolutionary War in 1776, although the term was used as early as 1648 to describe people in “British America.” Do the math, Mr. President, or have one of your flunkies do it for you.

2012 cannot come soon enough.

    2012 cannot come soon enough.

Are you referring to the election, or the Mayan-predicted apocalypse?

What’s sad is that it will take years and years to undo the damage Obama has done to this nation.

Trusting money to Democrats is like hiring a drug addict to guard a CVS.

And John D is right – Is it not a coincidence that his term ends the year of the Mayan-predicted apocalypse? Obama still has another couple years to finalize the effing up of this country.

    Hope. Change.

He’s at least as bright as his followers. One of his ardent supporters tells us that the United States “invaded” America in 1492, and later the “Found Fathers” rebelled against the Queen of England because of their radical ideas.

    Eyes bleeding any more?

His math skills are pathetic since he is the only person alive that I know who believes borrowing trillions annually makes any sense.

At my age I usually don’t wish for time to go real fast but with this loser I wish Nov. 2012 was tomorrow.

It’s easier to listen to his speeches if you stuff pieces of eggcrate foam into your ears.

John D – Both. If Obama is re-elected the Apocalypse will be upon us.

Andrew – This should be a wake up call to the GOP. Do. Not. Frak. Your. Chance. Up. Again.

Proof – Pretty sure King George was in power during the Revolution . . . not a queen.

Ralph – November looks to be a bloodbath for the Ds as it is. Things like this are not helping the Party’s cause.

Mrs. Crankipants – Usually the blood clogs up my ear canal.

And as I type this I am listening to my radio and Bob Franz on WTAM 1100 is just coincidentally talking about obambi not being really bothered that we can take another really big terrorist attack without being destroyed, we’ll survive, so ..no big whoops, he just wants an exit strategy. No winning strategy, just an exit strategy.

Now as long as that Al Queda attack hits Washington and takes out our current regime without any good people being killed, oh boy we could definitely survive that one.

Makes me wonder WHAT day in history Mexico declared it’s DEPENDENCY on AMERICA?

    Just wondering…

Jon – Absorbing a terror attack. I read about that idiotic statement. Think the families off the 2,997 victims just “absorbed” it, President Numbnuts?

Captain – I am starting to hate this guy, so you got me there.

    Bob G – Probably January 20, 2009.

It was “recognized” in 1821? How does one recognize a country? “I know you, you smell like tacos, take naps all afternoon,..you’re,…you’re Mexico, right?”

First, “We all shared the same land,” I didn’t know we all shared Kenya? I am not a birther that just struck me as funny.

Second, on the Mayan calendar. I don’t think it predicted the end of the world in 2012 it just ended in 2012. If my calendar runs out of pages, I just get a new one.
