Hartford City Council Goes Insane

I have to be honest. I never in my life thought I would find a city council that was worse than the one we suffer through here in Philly. Apparently, I was wrong. In a prime example of “going full retard,” the city council of Hartford, Connecticut has decided to open meetings with Muslim prayers.
In the wake of the battle over a mosque at Ground Zero, a move by the Hartford City Council is sure to have its critics. The Council announced Tuesday that it has invited local imams to perform Islamic invocations at the beginning of the Council meetings in September.
An e-mail from the Common Council called it “an act of solidarity with our Muslim brothers and sisters.” On Facebook, Council Minority Leader Luis Cotto wrote: “We start every single council meeting with a prayer. 99% of the prayers are Christian based, and in three years I recall one Rabbi coming through.”
The solidarity is due to all of the “anti-Islam events” going on in America right now. I mean, you can’t turn on the TV without seeing another beheading or riot against Muslims anymore.
How did they get away with any prayers – especially eeeeevil Christian prayers – during a council meeting? I figured the ACLU would be all over them like Muslims on an infidel. Not that they have to worry about that now. When it comes to the liberal mantra “separation of church and state,” the ACLU has no problem with Muslims. Funny how that works, huh?

Yeah, that attitude irks me too Wyatt. Not to let facts get in the way of “conventional wisdom”, but…
Of the 1,732 victims of anti-religious hate crimes:
66.1 percent were targeted because of an offender’s anti-Jewish bias.
7.5 percent were victims because of an anti-Islamic bias.
5.1 percent were victims because of an anti-Catholic bias.
3.6 percent were victims because of an anti-Protestant bias.
0.8 percent were targeted because of an anti-Atheist/Agnostic bias.
12.8 percent were victims because of a bias against other religions (anti-other religion).
4.0 percent were victims because of a bias against groups of individuals of varying religions (anti-multiple religions, group).

Not that the rate of victimization of Christians (Catholic and Protestant combined) is actually higher than Muslims.

So, how much longer do we have until the Christians and Jews have to surrender ourselves to the state? It seems to be getting closer daily. Islam is the only religion not being slammed now. It is welcomed in the government and White House with open arms. Our president has been invited to be the Muslim leader of the world by a Pakistani imam. How long before he accepts this offer? It seems our new world religion is going to be Islam. We are close to the end.

The Council meetings have been started with a prayer for quite some time, mainly Christian and Jewish, I guess they decided to mix it up. Shouldn’t the Buddists, Rastafaris, and Latter Day Saints be included as well? And what to do about the Atheists?
We are a united country because of our Constitution, not because of religion. Skip the prayer, and get down to business.

Alright, I apologize I went a little over the top with my last post.
I agree with Mrs C when she says that we a united country because of our Constitution not because of our religion.
If we can keep it that, then everything should be somewhat okay.

Anytime someone starts using the words “solidarity” and “brothers and sisters” my blood pressure goes up and my stomach starts to churn. The only cure is to go to a driving range where the golf balls have pictures of Osama, Mao, Stalin and a few other worthless types.
After about a a hundred I feel so much better.

The only good thing I can see after we are all converted into Dhimmihi Dummies is that Hillary will have to wear a burka.
Maybe the City Council could hold pagan bison eating rituals too. They could ship in a couple of those toothless
Afghan imams to add to the realism of the cave dwelling
atmosphere. Afterwards they could gas the local schoolchildren and behead a few Christians and hold a ‘hunt the Jew behind every tree and rock’ search party in the atrium. Maybe a saudi prince or two as guest speakers could then tell the council how due to our showing them how open we are that they will follow suit and open Ramadan with the Christian Lords prayer in Mecca, just before they all swirl around the big black rubics cube and throw stones at it and chant Death to America.
