Walking On Sunshine
By Wyatt Earp | January 28, 2010
Remember when Julia started crawling two months ago? I wrote “It’s Over,” thinking it couldn’t get any worse . . .
Great. First comes the walking, then comes the dating, then comes the gray hair. God help me.

GroovyVic – It’s my new hobby.

I recall when my girls started walking.
One is in kindergarten.
One soon to be in kindergarten.
They grow up much to fast.

I am a firm believer in cryogenic chambers at the age of 10. Thaw them in 50 years. By then, we will be old, grey, and too senile to know what they are doing.

These are the special times Wyatt, enjoy them

Rick – Yes, they do. She’ll be talking back to me any time now.
Kim – Wow, that’s a good idea!
Old NFO – I’d enjoy them more if she would sleep through the night. She wakes up almost every night at 0230 and the missus brings her up to our room – where Julia slaps me in the face for an hour.

She’s a Cutey, Wyatt!
I’ve got two teens girls now, gray hair, and plenty of ammo.

She’s like a tiny Godzilla!
(And I mean that in a nicest possible way.)
The expression on her face is hilarious.

Piper – Lock and load!
Mrs. Crankipants – “It’s Godzirra! We must free!” We should have put some toy tanks on the ground for effect. Heh.

“Look Tokyo, no hands!”

I think you’re being far too optimistic, Wyatt. The gray hair will come long before the dating.
January 28th, 2010 at 9:24 pm
Wait, your already have gray hair! Oh, you mean your back hair.
January 28th, 2010 at 9:26 pm
Meant to also add that Julia is entirely too cute! (Her brothers better watch out…she can chase them down, now.)

Adorable! as a mother of a 17 yr old girl, I feel for you. It starts around 10 years old and it probably never ends….

Mrs. Crankipants – But ten minutes after she eats the city, she’ll be hungry again.
Bitter – Yeah, you’re probably right.
RT – Shut yer hole!
Becky – Maybe I’ll be senile by then and not care.

Two daughters now 31 and 29 respectively. Both are married with families of their own. The younger one has a little girl just turned two on Monday last. Her name is Piper Olivia and she is my littlest granddaughter. The older one has a son, Victor Richard Smith III. But the common thing was watching them walk and do the other things when they were little and now they are married women. That word sounds strange when referring to my daughters, ya know. But it was well worth it. Believe me. And someday Wyatt, you will be Grandpa, PaPa, Granddad or whatever they choose to call you out of that unconditional love.

hehe it reminds me of when my second cousin first started walking a couple of years ago. Her dad’s comment on the milestone: “She’s mobile.”

My third kid Gavin started “I swear to all that is holy” running at eight and one half months.
We figured that he was just trying to keep his body up with the inertia that his ginormous head generated…….
He would throw his arms behind him like he was flying for balance…
you are so doomed, just wait till she starts talking, my oldest started at age 2 and has not stoppet since….

G P S implant!! NOW!!!!
I have 4 sons, and I watch what their girlfriends do. You don’t want to know!!!

Glenn – I may not last that long. The stress will take me out.
Chris – And that means she’s more difficult to track.
Thomas F – Erik, my soon-to-be 6 year old is non-stop after school. I guess after being quiet for 8 hours he needs a release.
Danny – No, I probably don’t!
