Newsweek’s Howard Fineman: Idiot

By Wyatt Earp | January 29, 2010

One of Newsweek’s many left-wing journalists hacks, Howard Fineman really outdid himself this week when he said that President Obama’s SOTU speech should make him worthy of Mt. Rushmore consideration. Seriously. And people wonder why no one reads Newsweek anymore.

Sister Toldjah has the hilarity:

“If presidential leadership were only about giving speeches, the jackhammers would already be at work on Mt. Rushmore. I thought the guy dominated the room, used humor, occupied the middle ground. It was both theatrically very good, playing in the hall much better than it read on the page, tactically quite smart . . .

In many, many ways, this is one of the most conservative speeches that a Democratic president has given since I think the middle of Bill Clinton’s time. And it was tactically quite smart on the President’s part.”

Of course, presidential leadership is about so much more than giving speeches, so any comparisons made between Obama and the four great men on Mount Rushmore are premature to say the least.

Thankfully, Fineman said this on Keith Olber-fuhrer’s rarely-watched program, so most American’s didn’t see it.

I don’t think its so far fetched to want to put Obamandias’ profile on Mt. Rushmore. Just about everyone I know thinks he’s a rockhead!

Now if we could only find some way to get his head on the mountain when its stuck so far up his azz…

The funny thing is Obama usually has good speeches but his SOTU sounded like he mailed it in yet this guy is gushing over it.

    Typical. Keep suckling Fineman.

Mt. Rushmore? I can’t believe that Fineman actually suggested that The One© should actually have to share a mountain with other, lesser, presidents. Appalling. Obama should have a mountain all to himself. And when Chris Matthews looks at it, he can say, “For an hour there, I forgot it was rock.” Which, just coincidentally, is what I say after looking at Matthews’s head.

No way should Obama be on Mount Rushmore! But Lola Falana would be nice.

Fenway_Nation – I try to forget that Fineman is an idiot. Doesn’t work.

Captain – I think he was one of the Three Stooges.

    Teetop – “Greatest president . . . ever!” – Howard Fineman

    1oldleg – Now that’s funny!

Minuteman – He’s not even a fan of “clean coal.”

Chris – And when people are falling asleep . . .

John D – We can put him on Mt. St. Helens.

    Mrs. Crankipants – Or LIZA!

She’s still around, I’d say mid 60s. She was in John Water’s movie “Cry Baby”.
