DC Sniper Gets A Date With Death

By Wyatt Earp | September 13, 2009

The bell tolls for thee, scumbag!

My opinion? Broadcast the execution on pay-per-view and donate the proceeds to the victims’ families. I’m just sayin’.

Virginia prosecutors are asking a state court to set a November 9 execution date for John Allen Muhammad, convicted in a series of sniper-style shootings that terrorized the Washington area in 2002.

In a letter dated Wednesday, Senior Assistant Attorney General Katherine B. Burnett said the November date “has been carefully coordinated with the governor’s office to insure his availability for any clemency petition Muhammad may wish to pursue.” Burnett enclosed a copy of a proposed execution order “for the court’s convenience.”

Muhammad’s attorney said he will file an appeal with the U.S. Supreme Court, and will ask the governor for clemency.

Yeah, good luck with that, sport shoes.

During a three-week period in October 2002, police say, Muhammad and his young protege, Lee Boyd Malvo, shot 13 people, killing 10. The two also are suspected in other shootings and murders in Tacoma, Washington, Montgomery, Alabama, and the Washington, D.C., area. (H/TCNN)

Wyatt, I like your broadcasting idea and maybe there should be reruns for those who were working at the time.

An unfortunate aspect of this case is that his appeal to the Supremes will allow him to live another couple of years.

Agreed! Hell, I’d PAY the $29.95 to see that one!

Ralph – Yeah, and considering the makeup of the Court, he’ll probably be awarded clemency.

Old NFO – As would I.

I would pay to see it happen.

I’d pay to hit the switch that pumps the drugs, I don’t guess they still use *Old Sparky*…

I’ll leave you to connect the dots.
US Prez: strong empathy toward Muslims.
    Guilty party: John A. Muhammad.
Gov of VA: DNC Chair and major suck-up to Zero.
    Execution date: Never gonna happen.

Don’t forget the line about asking the governor for clemency. With douchebag Kaine leaving office in January, I would almost bet that he will commute about everyone on death row in Va.

Jeez November 9th could make the Virginia governor election even more interesting. Cause you know the media would ask both candidates if they support his execution. That could make it hard for the Dem candidate and rile up the voters too.

Rick – It’s anonymous! (Heh, for those of us who confuse that with unanimous.)

TexasFred – With him, they should use a guillotine.

Thomas F – Can they put Ramsey there, too?

Bitter Clinger – Life in prison. That would figure.

    Mrcainiac – I wish I could completely rule that out, but . . .

AJ – Except most liberals don’t agree with the death penalty.

Mrs. Crankipants – And stick a light bulb in his mouth!

I would be innovative in the method. I would set a ‘date range’ that death could come, such as May thru October.
In his daily outdoor walks there would be a guard with a rifle locked and loaded watching him just outside the pen.
He would have to worry, thinking was this the day, or tomorrow. Then one day the guard would level his rifle and ..bang!!!
