Boogity, Boogity, Boogity!

By the time you read this, I’ll already be here:
Today, my friend Bill and I are taking Kyle and Erik to their very first live NASCAR race at Dover International Speedway. We’ll be seeing the Nationwide Series, which is the minor leagues of NASCAR – think Camden Riversharks, NFL Europe, or the Cleveland Indians. Heh. That being said, a lot of the Sprint Cup drivers will be participating in the race, including Kyle’s favorite driver, Kyle Busch, and one of Erik’s favorite drivers, Denny Hamlin.
The good thing about a Nationwide race is that it is not the all-day marathon that a Sprint Cup race is. The race is only 200 laps, half the distance of the big guys, and we can leave a lot later to get there in plenty of time. For the spring Dover Race, Randal and I left at 5am and were home by 10pm. Today, we left at 8am, and should be home by the kids’ bedtime – 8pm.
Hopefully, the weather will cooperate and the kids will enjoy the day. I’ll be sure to take plenty of photos. Let’s go racin’, boys!

How awesome! I hope you all enjoy it!!! I can’t imagine how excited the kids are for this.
In other news, there’s 9 minutes to go in the 4th, and IU is actually ahead of Michigan. A winning football team? Wow. Whatta concept.
With any luck, Kyle Busch will hit the wall and total his car on the 1st lap…
And maybe do a repeat in the Cup Race tomorrow too…
Texas Fred and I share the same exact sentiments about Kyle Busch.
Hope you had a great day!
I do not follow NASCAR that closely, but almost everyone I know that does hates Kyle Busch. Why is that? I thought Tony Stewart was the whining little weasel that needs to be bitch slapped.
Compared to Kyle Busch, Tony Stewart is HE-MAN, Master of the Universe..
If you look in the dictionary for the word dorky-assed cry baby, there’s a picture of Kyle Busch…
I need a win from the old man tomorrow so I can move up in The League Too Tough to Tame.
Haha,
Back to Dover huh?
Im working in the same place as last time if you want to say hi
RT – It was a fantastic day, and the boys really loved it. Kyle loved it more when Kyle Busch was dominating the first half of the race, but . . .
Prof – Michigan 36, Indiana 33. Tough luck, pal. Heh.
TexasFred – I told Kyle to expect a lot of boos, but apparently we sat in the Kyle Busch section. He got a lot of applause there.
Randal – You know he’s not my favorite guy, either, but I had to play diplomat today. Although Erik and I both cheered on Denny Hamlin.
Becky – It was. I’ll post about it soon.
Ingineer66 – I hate no one more than Tony Stewart. He’s still pretty hated, but Kyle is catching him. They have the same obnoxious style.
TexasFred – As long as tyou don’t rip Gordon here, we’re good.
Jim – I just need a decent finish from a few guys. Haven’t had a strong week for a while.
K – We walked past on Saturday, but I didn’t see ya. Don’t have tickets to Sunday’s race. Too much for the kids.
