9-11: Eight Years Later

By Wyatt Earp | September 11, 2009

Radical Islam declared war on the United States of America eight years ago today:

Today? Obama’s hack Attorney General is demanding an investigation of the CIA’s “brutal” tactics during enhanced interrogation techniques. Tactics that include blowing cigar smoke into detainee’s faces. Wow, maybe I can launch an investigation into my golf buddies?

Today? People are calling for us to pull our troops out of Afghanistan. Yeah, let’s leave it to the Predator drones. Human intel is overrated. /snark.

Today? People remember the day’s events, but not the impact of them. This will continue the further removed we are from the most deadly attack on American soil.

At least, that is, until the next attack.

(Axeman has a good post about the events HERE.)

To US, while we are still free!

To US, while we still have a choice!

To US, while still stand for others who cannot stand for themselves!

    To US!

This morning I heard some dude on the radio saying he believed 9/11 was an inside job. I know the “truthers” are out there, but I just can’t believe they would make those allegations.

I think it’s insulting to the families of the victims…

This morning I was listening to audio tracks from people who lost members of their family on 9/11. One man, a retired firefighter had two sons, a firefighter and a police officer, who both died at the World Trade Center. A woman talks about the conversation with her husband, who was trapped in the WTC, the stairwells were filled with smoke and there was no escape route. They spoke on the phone for a half hour about their life together until she heard a sharp crack, and what sounded like an avalanche when the building started to collapse. Absolutely heartbreaking.

The video posted was a powerful call to mind of the horror that transpired that day. Good job Wyatt.

Obama and his croonies should hang their heads in shame today – I rarely insult the President of the United States out of respect – but this guy and his cabinet- total smacked asses

They were talking on F & F this morning about the people that made the decision to jump rather than stay and burn. What a terrible decision to have to make in your final moments. I think it was Kilmeade that said, (paraphrasing) “and the left thinks waterboarding is torture. It’s nothing compared to what the people in those towers went through.”

Radical Islam declared war on the United States of America eight years ago today:

This was just the attack that finally got our attention. They declared war on us when they attacked our embassy in 1979, followed by the Marine barracks in Beirut, the Khobar Towers in Saudi Arabia, the first WTC bombing, the USS Cole, and the Kenyan and Tanzanian Embassies. These were all skirmishes that prompted a limp wristed (if any response) from the sleeping giant. Had Jimmie Carter, Ronald Reagan, George H W Bush and Bubba Clinton responded the same way GW Bush did, we probably would have won this thing long before 9/11/2001.

    GroovyVic,

You should search 9/11 videos on youtube and look at the comments.

Ever notice all “truthers” have the same thing in common?

    1) They hate George Bush
    2) The government is their scapegoat for any situation gone bad
    3) They read one book on conspiracies and afterwards consider themselves experts
    4) They replace solid evidence with “opinion”
    6) Did I mention they hate George Bush?

One “truther” told me to look up “Operation Northwoods” – basically, ways in which the government could convince congress to declare war on Cuba during the Cold War. It mentions things like, flying remote controlled airlines with American markings, complete with fake passanger names (made up people). They would shoot it down and claim Cuba did it. That kinda thing.

However, nowhere does it mention anything about slaughtering American citizens…

A lot of “truthers” reference Operation Northwoods (which was never implimented), which, if you actually read it, mentions nothing of killing real people. It’s simply a strategy relying on drones and fake incidents to turn public opinion towards war.

But that’s what “truthers” do – they bend the truth.

Thank you, Andrew. I didn’t know about Operation Northwoods.

I just have to shake my head in disbelief at these “truthers.”

We could not keep the Rendition flights that happened in other countries secret.

Do you really think we could cover up 200 people spending months rigging the towers with explosives plus all the other people that would be in on it? These truther people are total nut jobs.

    I am one with Dano.

Israel has a Sampson option with its 200 to 300 ‘postulated’ nukes if it goes down. If it goes down so do a host of arab countries capitols, as well as their military bases etc. and it really doesn’t matter if they were involved or not, down they go. At least ‘that’ is a policy that would make the world safe for Democracy for a loooooooong time.

I remember the impact every day- I lost three good friends in the Pentagon, Jack Punches (Retired Capt USN), Capt Larry Getzfred, and AW1 John Pycior. I had flown with all three of them in the Navy, and Jack and I actually had competed for the job where he died… I WILL NEVER FORGET, NOR WILL I EVER FORGIVE.

1oldleg – Amen to that, sir.

Dano – I’ll settle for selected sniper fire.

GroovyVic – Another by-product of the length of time since the attacks. No one thought this in 2002.

Mrs. Crankipants – Thanks. I wanted something visceral, and this one did the job. I posted it last year, too, because sterile, documentary footage isn’t as hard-hitting.

The Girl – His main problem is that he thinks we can negotiate with these animals. Can’t be done.

    WalterC – Good points, all.

Andrew – And yet, no one claims that Pearl Harbor was an inside job . . .

Ingineer66 – And the thousands of eyewitnesses to the event. There is no “Men in Black” mind-erasing light, kids.

Jon – I wholeheartedly support Israel if it comes to that. One Holocaust a millennium is enough.

Old NFO – I am truly sorry for your loss, sir.

On that day, I just got out of the shower and my friend called and said turn on the TV. I was in shock. My daughter had a dr. appt that day and I was getting her from school and doing lunch and shopping. As we were driving into the nearest town (Adrian) the streets were empty and the mall was closed. I will never forget the way I felt that day. God bless the ones that died and the families they left behind.
