Yeah, But Does It Have Jane Badler?

By Wyatt Earp | August 8, 2009

Apparently, ABC is going to remake “V.” Personally, I consider “V” to be in the same league as “Escape From New York.” You don’t remake a near perfect original. We’ll see.

But I still want Jane Badler. Her Diana was out of this world. Heh.

When she tipped her head back and swallowed that mouse WHOLE, I was in love…

Good or bad, BSG set the Sci-Fi (notSyFy) bar. I wonder if they’ll keep the Nazi-eqsue themes, like in the original series?

Not that we didn’t know already but Hollywood has lost any ability to be original.

That said V is a midseason series. My guess is they schedule it on the same night as Lost’s final season, being that Elizabeth Mitchell will be in both series.

The funny thing about V is that they gain favor by curing diseases we haven’t already. You would think the FDA would have something to say about that being that the aliens are treading on their turf and cutting into the profits of health care companies who stand to profit more from making people healthier as opposed to curing them.

If I was a Hollywood liberal I would be going with that angle for the reboot.

Remember that chick who mated with one of the aliens? And her baby had a forked tongue!!

    V was must-see TV!

I have the “V” doll. He’s GI Joe size.

Looks pretty kewl. If there’s no liberal politically correct angle I just might DVR the whole series. Thanks for the heads up Wyatt.

P.S. Almost as good as Fringe, but not quite…

BA – I hope they keep it similar, at least. The new evil babe is pretty hot, so that’s a start.

    Chris – Aliens invented ObamaCare!

GroovyVic – I do indeed. Great stuff for its day.

Crankipants – Ooh, I want one!

Woody – I never saw Fringe, but I heard good things.

Henry – As did I. Great stuff. I wanted one of the Visitors pistols.

awe c’mon, I didn’t see any laser-bursting guns, shuttlecraft, red uniforms and the quasi nazi symbol of theirs.

and while the new leader is hot, she doesn’t hold a flame to the original Diana… she was hot, powerful, evil, etc. all in one.
