Wesley Cheeks: Defender Of The Constitution
By Wyatt Earp | August 30, 2009
You think some of the officers in my True Detective Stories are winners? Reston, Virginia Police Officer Wesley Cheeks makes our guys look like Stephen Hawking. If I had done or said half of the things Officer Cheeks said here, I would be fired by day’s end.
Michelle Malkin has the disturbing story:
I already gave out one Cone of Shame award today. Officer Wesley Cheeks just needs a Bozo the Clown mask. Watch as he tells a town hall protester in Reston, Virginia, that he can “charge [him] with whatever I want to” because the protester is holding up a sign he doesn’t like.
When the protester asks why other sign-holders aren’t being threatened with trespassing charges, the officer says it’s because the protester’s sign has a picture.
“This used to be America!” the protester exclaims.
The officer retorts: “It ain’t no more, okay?”
No. Not okay.
Oh, and did I mention there was video, too?
Does anyone want to venture a guess as to what punishment Cheeks will receive? Come on, it’s okay – everyone already knows the answer.
In Philadelphia, this jackass would be a captain by now.

I hate to say it but I will.
It sounds like a bad case of Hope and Change.

Hello Wyatt! Love your site. If this is real I am very upset about it, however after going to the Fairfax County Police Departments website I noticed that the patch on Mr. Cheeks sleve does not seem to match the shape worn by other officers. The Chiefs picture shows it fairly clearly.

Update from Townhall.
Officer Cheeks is a member of the Fairfax County Public Schools’ trained School Security Officer team. The school’s security force, however, refused to comment on the story until its communications offices reopen on Monday.

Admiral – With a side order of stupidity.
Keith – If that’s the case, I feel a little better. At least a real cop didn’t say something stupid like that on camera.
Rob – Very well, then I’ll say it. THIS cop acted stupidly.

LDIV – And to say that on video? Dumb.
Proof – Nice one.

is he going to have a beer at the White House now too?

It is still stupid. If Mr. Cheeks is not a sworn officer then not only did he violate civil rights but also impersonated a peace offer!

Officer (Sorry)

YEah, Wyatt. I posted it too. But today DPUD put up another story about a retired cop throwing people out of a townhall for asking inconvenient questions. You guys are getting some bad press–not really the msm is quashing it.

Don’t you love the arrogant little fag who pipes up in the middle to tell us our First Ammendment rights don’t apply on school property?
Perhaps that’s true for CHILDREN you ignorant gasbag, but not for adults who were invited there for the express purpose of FREE ASSEMBLY and POLITICAL SPEECH.
And this guy is probably a civics teacher… probably molests his male students too, or wishes he could. Did I say that out loud?

First of all, to allow someone with such screwed up grammar to work any where near a school should be a criminal act. Second, this guy needs to be in prison.
He is smoking the hopium. He’s crushing up little hopeychange pills and smoking them in a bong filled with hopeychange kool aid.

As a law enforcement officer for 33 years… the guy’s a complete embarrassment. The same goes for the other idiot on another video telling people not to TALK! They’re abominations and don’t represent most of the other cops and law enforcement in the country. We’re NOT government thugs, we’re behind you. If government politicians think they’re going to use us like they did during Katrina, they’ve got another thing coming. Most of us have made our decision on what to do. Too many intelligent, patriotic, constitution loving officers out there for them to try it.

I hope to GOD your right Dave B. because if this whole mess takes a turn for the worse, we(the true patriotic americans) are going to need your support and the support of all your fellow officers to stand up for whats right in this country. I have never been so frightened for me and my family before. We have to stand up for our rights. I love and cherrish the rights I was born with in this country. Keep up the good fight.
