Obama To Be In Booth For All-Star Game

By Wyatt Earp | July 13, 2009

dtaYet another reason to dislike baseball.

When I read about this yesterday, it was just a rumor. Apparently, it has now been confirmed by FOX Sports. The Idiot-in-Chief will be in the broadcast booth sometime mid-game. Swell. ZIP adds the sad but true point of all this:

He can’t be any worse than Tim McCarver…..

Fair enough. Read on:

Barack Obama will be adding baseball broadcaster to his résumé. SI.com learned Sunday that the President will join Fox Sports announcers Joe Buck and Tim McCarver during Tuesday’s All-Star Game. Obama is expected to be in the booth sometime between the third and fifth inning. SI.com reported earlier that the White House was considering Fox Sports’ request to interview the President during the game. (H/TWeasel Zippers)

Can this guy be more omnipresent? He’s everywhere, whether we like it or not. And after only six months, I am tired of seeing his blue-lips and even more tired of listening to his boring commentary on everything under the sun. It’s a shame, because a lot of Phillies are on the roster this year – but I won’t be watching.

Oh well, it looks like I’ll be viewing reruns of Family Guy and The Office tomorrow night, instead.

I guess he doesn’t have anything better to do. You know, like run a country.

I was thinking about watching the All Star game. But I will not watch now.

Doghouse – I guess he doesn’t have anything better to do. You know, like run a country into the ground. There, I fixed that for ya.

Rick – In the grand scheme of things, you could probably watch the first half and the second half, but the fawning over this toad will be unbearable. Besides, the MLB All-Star Game hasn’t been interesting in years.

His lips keeps getting worse and worse for me. I almost cannot even look at him anymore.

For a President who likes to liken himself to Abraham Lincoln, I’d think he’d want to distance himself from anything named “Booth”!

When he shows up at a bake sale at my kid’s school,
I’m packing my bags and moving to another country.

    Stolen from some thread somewhere:

Not only will Obama be there to throw out the first pitch, but VP Biden will also be at the game to commit the first error.

Sohos – He must have a blueberry water ice stand in the White House.

Proof – Ha! That’s good stuff!

Mrs. Crankipants – Don’t be surprised when it happens.

    Jim – Okay, that’s a friggin’ riot!

He could continue reading children’s books while the country is under attack. I’m just sayin’.

Kind of like dear leader in North Korea or the mullahs of Iran and like Mao in China. Their visage is everywhere to remind people of who is in charge. Hmm, I thought we were in charge and he worked for us, silly me.

Well so much for watching the game. I had a few malt beverages last night watching the home run derby and the old-timers/celebreties softball game. At least A&E has the First 48 on tonight.

He is a celebrity. He is everywhere all the time. People are getting sick of Obama over exposure.

Then again his loyal acolytes could get never get enough. Maybe when they do they will quit drawing weak assed President Bush comparisons.

Randal – Thank God the economy is booming and unemployment is at its lowest level ever, or else Obama would have important work to do.

USMC8511 – Actually, in that household, Aunt Esther Michelle Obama is in charge.

Glenn – The Home Run Derby was okay, but not great. Although Prince Fielder hitting that moonshot 503 feet was awesome.

Admiral – Haven’t you heard? The 9.5% unemployment rate is Bush’s fault! Just don’t bring up the “stimulus.”
