Howard Stern Lickspittle Arrested
By Wyatt Earp | February 26, 2009
I have to admit that I don’t really miss Stern’s show. It was nice when it was on the regular airwaves, but he lost me when he went to Sirius Satellite. I don’t pay for radio – it’s like paying for sex.
Either way, it is great that this tool got locked up. I’ve always hated him.
Captain Janks of the “Howard Stern Show” turned himself in to N.J. State Police Wednesday, the Express Times reported.
Captain Janks, formally known as Thomas Cipriano, 42, of North Wales, was paid $350 to make an appearance at the Landslide Restaurant and Saloon this month, but never showed up, police said.
Restaurant owner Barbara Seguine was given a contract for $350, but said Cipriano didn’t follow through on the agreement.
“If he didn’t shake my hand and look me in the eye I guess I wouldn’t be as mad,” Seguine said. (H/T – NBC10)
The truly sad part about this case is that it will just make Cirpiano a hero in the eyes of the show.

Heh. You know you aren’t a celebrity when your appearance fee is $350.
What an idiot, though. He had a contract and met in person with the person running the event. Stupid.

RT – I would appear for half that – and probably be twice as entertaining.

Since you don’t listen to him on Sirius, you’ve missed out on a bunch of this saga.
On Howard’s Sirius station they have their own news team. They usually do stories on the show and people associated with the show. This team has nothing to do with Robin Quivers, btw.
I believe that news team is one of the reasons he ultimately got arrested. The news team started looking into the reports that he was taking money and not showing up. Because of the news team, it was discovered that it wasn’t just an isolated incident.
I believe that due to the investigation by the Howard100 News Team (that is the name of the news team) the police were involved sooner rather than later.
Captain Janks actually tried to get Howard to make the news team back off because he argued that the stories were giving him a bad name. Howard didn’t do anything to make the news team stop investigating the stories.
Since I haven’t talked to the bar owners, I have no proof that the investigation caused them to go to the police, but it sure seemed that way.
He definitely was NOT held up as a hero on the show because of this. -AmblerMan

AmblerMan – Thanks for the info. I didn’t know that.
