Tim Kaine: Obama Responsible For Cease Fire
By Wyatt Earp | August 13, 2008
Well, if you’re gonna pick someone to be your Vice-President, it should always be someone dumber than you. I think Tim Kaine fits that bill nicely.
Virgina Governor Tim Kaine, my candidate in the Obama Veepstakes Pool, says it was Obama’s intervention that lead to a cease fire between Russia and Georgia.
“It was a bad crisis for the world. It required tough words but also a smart approach to call on the international community to step in. And I’m very, very happy that the Senator’s request for a ceasefire has been complied with by President Medvedev.”
This will of course come as news to French President Nicholas Sarkozy who actually flew to Moscow to talk to the Russians. (H/T – Ace of Spades)
First of all, I am not exactly sure this cease fire will hold – if there is even a cease fire, since reports are sketchy at best. Second of all, if anyone thinks that Putin agreed to a cease fire with Georgia because Obama recommended it – without even talking to Putin, by the way – well, I am taking orders for straitjackets.
Send me an e-mail with your sizing instructions, and I’ll ship one out to you, post haste.

Yeah. The Messiah makes Putin quiver by the sheer force of his words. I have an ocean in Kentucky I can sell anyone who believes that. The gov is doing some shameless sucking up for the VP slot.

And then the skies opened up and he ascended back to his pod on Mars.
Oh, and then he gave Al Gore the power to invent another form of the internet.
Idiot.

Btw isn’t Kaine a one-time ACLU attorney or something like that?

Ky person – He is certainly whoring himself out for the job.
RT – I don’t think it will help Obama’s chances if he picked this knucklehead.
Admiral – And yet, Kaine gives no credit to Sarkozy, who actually talked to Putin.
AJ – At least that’s what Kaine thinks.

“if there is even a cease fire, since reports are sketchy at best.”
I can’t help but remember Baghdad Bob standing on top of that building saying that there were no US tanks in the city as the viewers could plainly see our tanks rolling through downtown in the background.
Simple words don’t make bullets or artillery fire go away.

Nothing like taking credit for a cease fire that didn’t happen…Doh!
