Why do all of the blockbuster stories break when I am on vacation?
This is George Hussein – I wonder if people can mention his middle name? – Onyango Obama. He is Barack Obama’s half-brother, and he is living in severe poverty in Africa. One has to wonder why the uber-wealthy Illinois senator could not reach out to his own flesh and blood, since George Obama has been waiting for “hope” and “change” for twenty-six years.
The Italian edition of Vanity Fair said that it had found George Hussein Onyango Obama living in a hut in a ramshackle town of Huruma on the outskirts of Nairobi.
Mr Obama, 26, the youngest of the presidential candidate’s half-brothers, spoke for the first time about his life, which could not be more different than that of the Democratic contender.
“No-one knows who I am,” he told the magazine, before claiming: “I live here on less than a dollar a month.”
Less than a dollar a month? Wow, he’s already living under an Obama presidency!
According to Italy’s Vanity Fair his two metre by three metre shack is decorated with football posters of the Italian football giants AC Milan and Inter, as well as a calendar showing exotic beaches of the world.
He told the magazine: “I live like a recluse, no-one knows I exist.”
Especially not your filthy rich half-brother, right George?
Embarrassed by his penury, he said that he does not does not mention his famous half-brother in conversation.
“If anyone says something about my surname, I say we are not related. I am ashamed,” he said.
The question is this: Is he ashamed of his situation, or is he ashamed that his half-brother treats him as an “unperson?”
The Illinois senator mentions his brother in his autobiography, describing him in just one passing paragraph as a “beautiful boy with a rounded head”.
Maybe it’s me, but that sounds like a racist sentence. Rounded head? Are you kidding me?
Of their second meeting, George Obama said: “It was very brief, we spoke for just a few minutes. It was like meeting a complete stranger.” (H/T – Telegraph UK)
Cherish the meeting George: You will most likely never see Barack Hussein Obama again.
The truly galling part of this story is that just one week ago, Barack Hussein Obama said this during the Saddleback Presidential Forum:
“I think America’s greatest moral failure in my lifetime has been that we still don’t abide by that basic [p]recept in Matthew that whatever you do for the least of my brothers, you do for me. And notion of — that basic principle applies to poverty. It applies to racism and sexism. It applies to, you know, not having — not thinking about providing ladders of opportunity for people to get into the middle class. I mean, there is a purvasive [sic] sense I think that this country is wealthy and powerful as we still don’t spend enough time thinking about the least of these . . .”
Unbelievable hypocrisy.

Maybe McCain can give him one of the houses that he doesn’t even know about.
His brother, Geroge, ALSO says: “I am not going to start pestering him, I don’t want to look to him for help, I want to achieve things for myself.”

Randal – I did. There is no mention of this “I Love Barack” nonsense in the article I quoted, which was the top search in Google. And published on the same day as the one I quoted? Shenanigans. I guess we’ll just discard the one I referenced in favor of the one you referenced.
Maybe Tony Rezko can give George a sweetheart home deal like he did for BHO?

But Obama and his wife have all those student loans to pay off, and then there’s the 10,000 to send the kids to camp.
Maybe they could have sent the brother their incentive check – Michelle was complaining how little it was.
