Check Out The New Blog Smell!

Welcome back, everyone!
This is why I haven’t been commenting on your blogs for a while. Sorry about that. So, what do you think? Personally, I think the new digs are pretty kickass. I am still working on getting the WordPress system down, and there will be more than a few faux pas for a while, but I think the blog will be the better for it.
For the uninitiated, here’s an explanation of the scenery. We moved the old banner to the new site, because I think Jim from bRight & Early – he did almost all of the work on this thing – did a terrific job creating it. The photo on the top left is Geno’s Steaks, a South Philly icon whose owner, Joey Vento is very supportive of our police officers and firefighters.
The center image is also an overhead view of South Philly. It is the city’s stadium complex, and shows the homes of the Phillies, Eagles, Flyers, Sixers, Phantoms, Wings, And Kixx. I’m a sports nut, so I thought this photo was appropriate.
The top right image is of Wyatt Earp. A little different from the old logo (Ted Turner must have colorized it) but I think it’s pretty cool.
Again, none of this would have been possible without Jim. he deserves almost all of the credit for this venture, and ignored his family to make sure we were up and running in time for my 3rd Blogiversary. I can never thank him enough, except to ask y’all to visit his blog.
Oh, and for the record, my blogroll will be up shortly, and if my fellow bloggers could update theirs with the new addy, I would greatly appreciate it!

Congratulations! And good luck! But may I ask what’s with the light gray type throughout the blog and the comments above? Older folks have a bad enough time trying to read the small type, but how about a little help in the color/contrast department. Didn’t you pay the ink bill?

I did it I figured out how to update my links to show your new address. I had to delete your old one and start over, but I got it working. I messed up on the address part on the earlier comment but its fixed now.

Banner looks good in IE, but doesn’t show up in Firefox. Any idea what setting I need to adjust?

Sweet. I’m liking it. It’s even accessible from DoD computers, so I can read it at work (while on break, of course. I can’t surf the net and hold back the communist hordes at the same time). Oh yeah, and happy blogaversary.

I have firefox and I can see the banner, BobG. The first time I visited it was wonky, but ok after that. Hope that info is helpful.
