Decorated Philly Police Officer Arrested

Every once in a while, I reflect upon my chosen profession. It’s a job that lets you help people and offers you the chance to make a difference. You’re surrounded by good, hard-working officers that are trying to make Philadelphia a better place to live. And then you see this, and your head explodes:

Few things turn the stomachs of those in law enforcement like having to arrest one of their own.

That’s especially true when someone with a badge is locked up for trying to solicit sex from a minor, as was the case this week with Adrian Makuch, a veteran Philadelphia police officer once honored by the FBI.

Makuch, 49, was arrested Tuesday following a “lengthy investigation” that found he had offered to take nude photos of a 15-year-old boy and buy sexual favors from a 17-year-old, Internal Affairs Chief Inspector Anthony DiLacqua said last night.

He was arraigned yesterday and freed after posting 10 percent of $20,000 bail, according to court documents. Makuch, who was detailed to the Crime Scene Unit, faces a Dec. 17 preliminary hearing and was suspended for 30 days with the intent to dismiss, DiLacqua said.

There are no words that can describe my disgust. Makuch better pray he doesn’t go to jail. A police officer and an alleged child predator? Yeah, he’ll be very popular in D Block.

Yep, should be real popular with the inmates. He’d better save that bail money to start buying large quantities of KY jelly.

“Few things turn the stomachs of those in law enforcement like having to arrest one of their own.”

    I wonder why.

Arresting criminals shouldn’t turn a cops’ stomach, regardless of what they do for a paycheck.

I would guess that arresting this jackass does not turn cops stomachs. What turns their stomachs are the crimes that he committed.

Is he married with a family?

Just handcuff his wrists to his ankles and take him off to cell block D.

Let’s hope his cellmate is a chubby chaser.

DL474 – A 50-gallon drum ought to do the trick.

Kaveman – The only shame of it is that the rest of us get bad press.

    Ingineer66 – Agreed. Despicable.

Kitty – I don’t know, but I sure hope not.

MeToo – And put him on roller skates. Can’t forget the roller skates.

Mrs. Crankipants – Heh, he’ll be seeing a lot of “chubbys” while in the “pokey.”

I wonder how long he has been pursuing underage boys for sexual pleasure?

If he does not get prison time that will be the true crime. I give two post holiday shits what he does for a living. Child predators deserve no leniency. If you are a pederass and you get caught, let the chips fall.

Jason – Probably a very long time.
