Ah Yes, About That “Stimulus” Bill

By Wyatt Earp | July 18, 2009

Remember way back in the beginning of the year, when President Obama told us that the Porkulus Stimulus Bill had to be passed immediately to “save” the economy? Well, six months later, the Obama administration has employed a little revisionist history. Isn’t that sweet of them?

It didn’t take long for the GOP to rip into the latest White House spin about Porkulus not being designed to stimulate the economy in the short run.

Wow, the GOP finally shot and scored for a change.

Conservatives loudly argued that Porkulus wouldn’t stimulate in the short term during the debate in Congress over the bill. Obama insisted on misrepresenting that argument as a demand to “do nothing” and claimed that the results would speak for themselves. And so they have! The only jobs that Obama can claim were “saved” were public-sector jobs, and even then, he’s misrepresenting what would have happened in the absence of Porkulus and its state grants. The states would have had to cut jobs, but they would have had a wide range of choices for cutbacks; it’s highly unlikely that they would have started with teachers, police officers, and firefighters. (H/THot Air)

Don’t worry, though. I’m sure this backtrack is a once-in-a-presidency kind of thing. Now, that ObamaCare Bill, THAT needs to be passed, post haste. Our very lives depend upon that! President Obama said so.

Cue eerie doomsday music.

I’m thinking twilight zone music would work. Because I’m not even sure if I’m in America any more.

If this doesn’t make people grab the pitchforks hop in the vehicles and drive to the White House, I do not know what will do it.

Remember the “Ready on day one” line we were fed during the election?

This guy wasn’t ready at all. Maybe if he had attended those Senate sessions he so blithly skipped…. Nah.

Obama showed he lacked good judgement when he let Pelosi and Company write a Stimulus bill that won’t work.

Think about this- Obama paid little attention to the details of the Stimulus then signed it before anyone had a chance to read it. His First Big Piece Of Legisltion and Obama Just Rubber-Stamped A Piece Of Crap!

That is some might poor judgment. We are so screwed.

Now I’m with british bird, but we need torches too. A riled crowd with only pitchforks is woefully unprepared.
And remember everyone, keep spending till you are out of bankruptcy:)

    E.L. – Oh, we’re in America. But we’re spelling it with a “k” now.

TBB – Break out the torches!

AJ – No, he’s not. Neither was Bush. There was Andrew Johnson, Warren Harding, Jimmy Carter . . .

MeToo – He certainly is everything Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck said he was.

Joated – Well, he was busy campaigning for a job he was not qualified for!

Jon – I wonder if that’ll work for me?

Bob – The Obama Chicken. Me likey!
