A Request For Prayers

Will you all please keep my Aunt Helene in your prayers this week and next. She suffers from Crone’s Disease, and is currently in the hospital. Sometime next week, she will have surgery to correct a fistula in her upper GI.
My Aunt Helene is probably my biggest supporter when it comes to the blog. She always has a kind word to say about what I write here, as well as at Family Security Matters. Truth be told, she is one of the main reasons I am still blogging – I know she reads and enjoys a lot of the posts. She is also the reason I limit the “sentence enhancers” at SYLG. I don’t tolerate wanton swearing, either in my posts or in the comments, because I know she is reading and wouldn’t approve.
I would consider it a personal favor if you kept her and her family in your prayers. And while you’re at it, feel free to wish her and my Uncle Harry a happy 45th wedding anniversary, which they will celebrate on Friday. Thanks!

I feel for her…. I suffer from UC and I have a good idea what she’s going through….
The disease and the drugs just kick the hell outa ya.

Get well soon, Aunt Helene. And may you and your husband enjoy many more years together. You got a good nephew here. Even if he does need to be knocked upside the head on occasion.

May Helene have a successful operation and speedy recovery. She and Harry are good people and I wish them all the best on their 45th anniversary.
