Tales Of The Obvious

Vandalizing Police CarOn Sunday night, Los Angeles Lakers fans rioted in the streets after their team won the NBA championship. (They’re vandalizing a police car in the photo to the left.)

Wow, thug fans of thug basketball players rioting after a championship? I am shocked.

Shocked, I tells ya!

LOS ANGELES — Hundreds celebrated in the streets outside Staples Center after the Los Angeles Lakers’ NBA title win Sunday night, with some revelers damaging police cruisers, throwing rocks and bottles at officers and setting bonfires in the street, authorities said.

About 25 people were arrested, most part of a rowdy crowd that split off on to surrounding streets after police declared the gathering an unlawful assembly, officer Karen Rayner said.

Filthy frakkin’ animals.

Several police cruisers were damaged and reinforcement officers were called in from throughout the city to help disperse the crowd, Rayner said.

Los Angeles police said five officers were hit by debris and had minor injuries. (H/TFOXNews)

Well, if the officers were able to pummel the savages with nightsticks – like the below toad in the white t-shirt – “celebrations” like these would be less common. I’m just sayin’.

Savage

Oh please officer, beat his ass.

How can you tell that’s a him? It is LA after all.
Only problem now a days is, if an officer hits one of the rowdy people in the crowd, he’ll be up on police brutality charges. But it’s ok for those uncontrolled animals to toss bottles and rocks at the officers. What a fookin’ bunch of horse manure. Pardon me while I go polish something that goes bang.

E.L. – If it’s frustrating to you, imagine how infuriating it is to me. :)

In crowd situations like that, police need a giant butterfly net with a built in taser device.

Why do these celebrations have to equal setting fires and flipping over cars? Wouldn’t drinking a beer and screaming “We’re #1!” be a lot more fun? After witnessing what happened in the city after the Phillies won, if we go several decades without winning a championship, that’d be a-ok with me.

Mrs. Crankipants – I agree 100%. Hundreds of people celebrated like adults, but the drunken, violent jackasses ruined it.

Prof – Exactly. No reports of riots in Pittsburgh. Wonder why that is?
