Monica Conyers Pleads Guilty To Conspiracy

Oh, this is just delicious. Conyers is a true piece of garbage. A foul-mouthed, corrupt, racist waste of air. She knows it. Her husband, Democrat Congressman John Conyers knows it. Now you know it.
It almost makes up for Congress’ decision to bankrupt America yesterday. Almost.
Detroit City Council President Pro Tem Monica Conyers pleaded guilty this morning to conspiring to commit bribery and is free on personal bond. U.S. District Judge Avern Cohn said, “The defendant now stands convicted.”
The one count of conspiring to commit bribery is punishable by up to five years in prison.
Yeah, the wife of one of the most powerful Democrats in Congress can receive the maximum of five years in prison. Does anyone think she’ll spend even one day in the slammer?
I didn’t think so.
In court, Conyers’ combative demeanor was gone, replaced by soft-spoken resignation as the judge and his staff several times asked her to speak up.

Bawahahahahaha! Choke on that, beyotch! I guess the only question that remains is this: What did John Conyers know, and when did he know it?
You cannot tell me he knew nothing of his wife’s illegalities. No one is buying it and you shouldn’t be selling it.

It’s been said before, but if that was you or me, we would go to prison and our lives would be ruined. I’d get out of jail and would be working a crappy job only to have my wages garnished in order to pay for my incompetent attorney’s fees for defending me poorly. This dirtbag will probably make more money in the pen than I do working a squarejohn job. She’ll get out of jail and make a pile as a community activist or head of a non-profit. Where is the karma boomerang?

Made page A7 in this morning’s Inquirer. The headline read “Detroit Official Admits To Bribery”.
Yet on Thursday, “Sanford Resigns GOP position” was top of the fold and Page 1.
I am shocked at the difference in coverage. I bet you are too. Heh.

AJ, what do you expect? After months of “investigative journalism” the Inkwaster reported that the BRT was rife with corruption and cronyism! Yeah, that’s news in Philly.

What’s to stop Rep.Conyers from getting a law passed to let the ol’ lady skate on the charges?
Or doesn’t a congresscritter have that kind of clout?

I live just north of Detroit, so I’m kinda glad to see at least the beginning of the end to the Conyers Circus. Its in the news way too much around here.
