It’s Official: Obama Is Bigger Than Jesus

And even Jesus didn’t have publicity like this guy.
On his 100th day in office, President Obama will be “crowned” in messianic imagery at New York City’s Union Square.
Artist Michael D’Antuono’s painting “The Truth” – featuring Obama with his arms outstretched and wearing a crown of thorns upon his head – will be unveiled on April 29 at the Square’s South Plaza.
Just stop with the Messiah imagery already. Barack Obama is not the Messiah. As a matter of fact, he cannot even be considered a very good president . . . yet. It’s been three months, people! What has he done???
According to a statement released about the portrait, “The 30″ x 54″ acrylic painting on canvas depicts President Obama appearing much like Jesus Christ on the Cross: atop his head, a crown of thorns; behind him, the dark veil being lifted (or lowered) on the Presidential Seal. But is he revealing or concealing, and is he being crucified or glorified?” (H/T – WND)
I have to admit that this First 100 Days nonsense is just that: nonsense. What has the man done to warrant such grandiose praise and celebration? Hell, he hasn’t even filled all of the positions in his administration yet! (There are still 542 empty appointments.) Stop being a rock star and a “messiah,” and start doing the work the American people elected you to do!
Of course, if Obama would do his job instead of appearing on The Tonight Show, posing for magazine covers, and golfing during a swine flu pandemic, he would probably get a lot more done.
I’m just sayin’.

Hmm Deifying the leader..lets see..North Korea comes to mind, Stalin assumed godlike proportions especially looking down the barrel of one of his thugs, Napoleon had such a cult following also. It is said that when Jesus does come it will be obvious to all, who and what he is.
It could be that this 12th mahdi wannabe needs to feed like the vile beast he is on the adoration of others. Of course it could only be a painting:) LOL

I think the painting is actually a perfect imagery of what’s happening in this country. Having this ridiculous depiction in NYC Union Square represents the utter stupidity of a population that has no critical thinking skills.
I’m hoping those who still have at least something of a functioning brain will find the rendering and its location somewhat disturbing. To the rest of us who have managed to hang on to their brain function, it’s just plain laughable.
Keep the absurdity coming. Eventually the limit of patience will be reached and things are gonna pop.

Just plain offensive, really. Way, way worse than the “Obama/Lincoln” pictures they’ve been trying to hock at the post exchange since the inauguration, that don’t appear to be moving too quickly. Big shock there.

Far be it for me to encourage criminal damage but I wonder how long before someone gets so upset by it that they damage/deface it?
3 days after Jesus died He was back showing His victory over chaos and death.
100 days after his inauguration, POTUS has done … what? … apart from increasing the chaos.
