She’s Got Radioactive Blood…

Robotic Spider Dress

I’m no fashion critic, but I know what I hate… and I don’t hate this. I fear it, but I don’t hate it.

This is the Robotic Spider Dress, a collaboration piece between designer Anouk Wipprecht (of self-coloring dress fame) and programmer Daniel Schatzmayr. It moves its legs around whenever it senses nearby movement. That’s creepy. I can’t say I’d recommend any of you ladies wearing it on a first date.

It’s only appropriate to see Emma Stone wearing this; and maybe Kirsten Dunst.

Oh: You can see video of the dress in action below the fold:

We can build this but no one can get me freakin’ sharks with freakin’ lasers on their heads? NO! All I get is ill-tempered sea bass!

Seems like JUST the thing to wear on the Mkt-Fkd EL…lol.
(don’t think it would fly on the Broad St. line, though)
    Stay safe,.

Dr. Evil – Since Obama killed the Shuttle program, shouldn’t the NASA weenies be free to develop the laser shark program?

    John D – And if they were combined . . . *drools*

Jon – Sit there until I release her . . . from her dress.

Wow! As the father of two girls, I can see the utility of this garment as long as it was programmable by Daddy!. Maybe a remote camera as well so Daddy can keep a close eye on things. Appendages could be replaced by a variety of devices, laser, taser, death ray, k-bar….maybe even firearm capable. Think of the possibilities!

I gotta wonder if it has other attachments.
I mean, creepy is cool and all, but there are other things I like to do with women than be creeped out.

Veeshir – I’m reminded of the scene from The Naked Gun in the pr0n shop . . . with the pull-start power tool.

Jim – I think the arms lift and separate them.
