At Least He’s A Happpy Felon

By Wyatt Earp | January 27, 2012

Meet John Rocco Pacella.

Like the Dos Equis guy, John is one of the most interesting men in the world. Why do I say that? Well, it’s because John called 911 this week to report an emergency.

His emergency? he had an urgent need to punch out a police officer.

Thankfully, the po-po granted his request, and now Johnny is eating cheese sandwiches for dinner.

Police said John R. Pacella, of the 200 block of Stanhope Drive, was arrested after a 911 call from a man who “wanted to see an officer because he wanted to fight with them” about 4 a.m. on Jan. 19, police said. When officers arrived at Pacella’s home, he shoved the officers, according to a police report.

Pacella was booked into DuPage County Jail, where he remains on $100,000 bail. He is charged with aggravated battery, resisting a police officer, and battery with intent to provoke or insult – all felonies.

Interesting Fun Fact: Pacella is also a registered sex offender. Kudos!

I hope he accidentally hurt his face when he “fell down” trying to “run” after the PO’s put the bracelets on!

  2. Wyatt Earp says:

L Frame – Never bring a knife to a cop fight.

  3. Loaded Dice in Vegas says:

In DuPage County, Illinois there is a GOOD chance he’s going away. In C(r)ook County he’d be RWOC and and have a chance for the ghetto lottery.

But remember this is Illinois and stranger legal things happen.

  4. Jack Rackim says:

    I agree with L Frame S&W.

This has to be the strangest story I’ve ever read.

  5. John D says:

Wow, another self-solving crime. If this keeps up, PDs across the country will be able to eliminate their detective bureaus. Just sit at the station and wait for the crook to call. Then go pick him up.

  6. Wyatt Earp says:

LDIV – It’s Thunderdome out there.

Jack – Calling 911 to get your ass beaten and locked up? Yeah, it’s up there in the stratosphere of the bizarre.

John D – It’s frakking with my job security!

  7. Richard says:

A beautiful tribute to the men in blue. Willing to help a citizen with any needs at his slightest call. God bless them.

  8. Bob G. says:

    Wyatt:
Sometimes, when you hit the “Felony Lotto”, you HIT BIG!
    I like happy endings.
(you sure he’s not eating through a STRAW?)

    Good post.

    Roll safe out there.
